Okay, due to the number of comments I went back and tried the laser cannon on the bots. its def above c tier, I would honestly put it in A tier for the bots, but under ANTI MAT. this thing cooks way better than i thought it did IF you can hit the weak spots which is kinda tough. I ran a load out specific for it (stun nades, scorcher, nade pistol, and of course the laser cannon) anything that gets too close you can stun and then light up in its weak spot. it takes some getting used to, but by the end of the mission I had it down pretty good. it does struggle from the chainsaw guys, they killed me more than anything. I put the anti mat above it because its easier to hit weak spots with that cause you don't have to hold it on them. Laser Cannon = A tier on the bots

One thing also to consider (didn't mention it in the prev comment) the LasCan is probably the best anti air weapon. Depending on played difficulty those Gunships are a nightmare, the LasCan handles them within 2 seconds a pop!

You are struggling against berserkers because you are bringing redundant weapons. Laser canon already takes cares of the same targets the scorcher does. Imo, Eruptor is a better choice to pair with Laser Cannon. It dispatches several small targets (one well place shot can kill an entire patrol of troopers) and one shots berserkers and striders. Plus, it destroys fabricators now that you lack explosive grenades.

The thing is, most KZbinrs don't do that because "watch time" pushes the algorithm. The longer people who click on your video watch it, the more it gets recommended.

AC is THE weapon for bots. It’s S-tier for sure. It’s not just medium pen like the AMR, it’s also explosive which means it destroys heat sink weaknesses MUCH faster (3-taps tanks and cannon turrets), 1-shots striders and can also AoE down packs as they’re being dropped from dropships. Once you get explosive resist medium armor and no longer need a personal shield to live diff 9, the AC becomes the king for bot missions.

I completely agree. AC enjoys added bonus for being able to effectively engage bot gunships which I think we can all agree are stupid dangerous.

Allow me to disagree, once you figure out the Misalignment on the Scope of the AMR you will kill everything with fewer shots then the AC. Granted expect Turrets and Tanks. You are more mobile, and have a Backpack slot, more easily hit Weakspots from further away, it's less good for clearing out Chaff but if you pair it with the Crossbow, you can take on everything that the Bots throw at you.

​@@TheWill383the AC can also kill bug holes and bot fabs way too easy and way too far away. It is really versatile. Heavy armor? Leave them to the anti tanks, this game is not a single player game. Even with the Chargers or Bile Titans, the AC can blew up their squishy part in 2-3 shots. To the Chargers it will render them useless and they will die anyway. To the Titans it will take away their vomit attack which also really helpful.

@vuductien1195 Well I am mostly talking about the Bots, I admit that the AMR isn't the best choice vs the Bugs. Well it depends, I personally prefer when everyone in my team can deal with anything on their own, it just takes one stray rocket to take out your dedicated Antitank guys and then you can kite those hulks for ages or get killed by it.. or your anti tank can't get to his stuff in time or at all.. thats just a downward Spiral. And Fabricators I cover with strategems

i mostly play solo, so i need more of this play style where i can handle most things, if my weapon cant I need to have a stratagem that can. the auto cannon has never really worked for me but I havnt tried it near as much as I probably need to. i just learned thanks to these comments that the laser cannon is actually pretty solid on the bots!

Did a bug mission yesterday with two guys having arc throwers and two guys having quasars (me being one of them) and we split into teams if two with one each and demolished the mission. I have never seen more bug bodies layered over more bodies in my life and the tankier bugs were just taken care of with the quasars. 10/10 would recommend running this strat if y’all got friends or can convince some randoms. Also bring any of either GD Rover, Jump Pack, or Shield Pack as it just makes the mission far easier.

Laser cannon only being C tier vs bots is pretty wild. It can literally kill/destroy any unit on the map with surprising swiftness, along with turret towers & some objective structures. It kills most bots significantly faster than the quasar charge up, and is capable of some add clear. Its performance is similar to the AC -stagger & fab destruction, but you can use a backpack with it and don't need to reload. Oddly enough, I'd say its biggest unit weakness is against scout striders (takes a bit too long on the legs/crotch for that lvl of enemy), but there are plenty of primaries that can easily compensate for this. In any case, similar to the AC, it's at least 1 or 2 tiers higher in performance vs bots than bugs (where it's very weak vs the heavies, and not suited for massive swarms).

@@true_cyan9188make sure you run stun nades with it. The strat to delete hulks or any devastaters is stun, laser for 1-2 seconds in the head and then go back to what you were doing. It’s also great at getting rid of the gattling guns for the Factory strider, and can kill it in the weak spot for about a full charge use. Gunships and gunship factories will also be easy to take down since 2 seconds gets them out of the sky on their weak point.

another good thing about the laser cannon is just how good it is versus those flying bots. it doesnt take a long time to blow one up and since they pretty much always come in pair, it's one of the few weapon that doesnt have a lot of downtime to deal with both. (other weapon will need to reload or to aim more carefully)

The take on the Flamethrower vs bugs blows my mind. As you said with the arc thrower, that is a skill issue. Flamethrower and stun deletes helldive bug breachs solo. I routinely get 800+ kills with it and the Erupter

[Only for bug missions]Flamethrower user here. It works really well with erupter for long range explosive and with stun nades, you take on solo sample ventures on a difficulty 9 mission no problem.

I'd say flamethrower itself is only like B or C tier, but with primary like erupter and stratagems that make up for the weaknesses, it's S tier. Paired with a teammate that has a quasar cannon, you are literally spreading democratic version of Stalin all over the map.

My load out it: Medium Medic Perk armor Erupter P-19 Stun Grenade Flamethrower Guard Dog Rover Eagle Airstrike 500 KG With this load out you can handle everything the bugs have to throw at you and the some. Rover and P-19 will handle hunter packs up close, erupter does erupter things to everything at mid/long range (and closes bug holes), Flamethrower melts Chargers and bug breaches and can solo funnel choke points, and the Eagle Air is simply the best strat in the game and applicable to everything always. Side note. The ammo economy of the flamethrower and the Erupter is bonkers. Pair that with the medic armor and the full supply booster and you won't need to rely too much on resupplies. TBH I almost never need them with all the ammo/stims spread across the map

@bchernyha wow that's almost the same as my setup. Except I use napalm strike instead of eagle air and rail cannon instead of 500kg. Napalm is on par with eagle except it creates an aoe puddle that bugs can't get through with the trade off of less frequency. It works well with the flame upgrade from the ship which increases both the flamethrower and Napalm damage. 500kg and rail cannon serves same function. I just like rail for the consistency.

from what ive seen, the laser cannon is actually really good against bots, ive never used it ive seen people use it, couple seconds on a hulk and its dead, though i might be biased because of the amount of times people have saved me using the laser cannon

The Laser Cannon is hands down near comparable to the AC, wich is pretty much the best overall sup wep against bots. In some areas weaker, however doesnt need a backpack slot and has basically inf ammo.

when you compare the old railgun to the newer weapons, the nerf was bs. safe railgun is completly useless now. it can kill hive guards with ease and thats kinda it, that thing feels more like a primary now and even there it loses to the punisher. F tier

Nice video. Honestly not tested supports much outside of MG/EAT as im quite new. Feally like the EAT though for sure - oneshotting many decent sized annoing enemies is ideal.

Autocannon allows you to solo bot bases super easy and also gets rid of very annoying units like scout striders and gunships easily. The lack of a backpack is no issue - look at it positively, it means you have space for another strategem like the EAT or railcannon if you struggle with bots.

I think the spear should always lock-on to the weakspot of any enemy, a lot of its potential is wasted when it doesn't hit the optimal area and deals mediocre damage. It would feel way better to have better damage/consistency instead of more ammo.

You already addressed it it seems like in your comments. I put Laser Cannon above Quasar now and Material rifle because of how it fits in with the overall meta. The Eruptor is just too good. The eruptor is amazing for being able to snipe fabrictors across the map, and take down the shielded striders. Because of that, those of us who run the Eruptor (which is a lot of us) need something to be able to take out the small mobs. so running the Laser Cannon lets you take out small weak mobs + any armored robot in the game (except small striders). And that is not something you can do with the Quasar. Plus the time to kill on any weak point is insane. Less than 3 seconds hitting a Turret weakpoint or a Tanks weakpoint and it is dead. Same with shooting a hulk. The Quasar is still great of course. But I definitely see the Laser Cannon as being on par if not better just because of the versatility of being able to take out small enemies as well as large ones.

Autocannon is at least A-tier on bugs. It blows up bug holes, so you get grenades of your choice, can destroy objectives, kills bile spewers in 2-3 shots and can kill bile titans, but you need to make a hole in them first to shoot the flesh (110 mm pods make hole, 5-7 shots kills. It's more consistent to me than trying to time a 500kg). Chargers are the only reason why AC isn't S-tier.

They should probably double the down time for the Quasar cannon, I see no reason to use the recoiless anymore, not only does the recoiless require the backpack slot to function, it also takes just as long to reload as the quasar takes to recharge.

One poin in favour of EAT is that it's pot itself is a projectile. Love getting it stuck on a charger and then having 2 shots for whatever is left. Though, still hard to compete with the quasar. They need to improve spear lock on, maybe recoilless damage bumped up a little and maybe reduce EAT cooldown to 60 sec baseline with a call in time fast enough for modifiers not to fuck it up. And agree that backpack weapons need some extra oomph. Though to be honest I'd prefer no backpacks for weapons and just give them baseline extra ammo, since supply backpack kinda already fits that role, dunno... Lots of anti synergy and "oh can't take this weapon cause I like the jet pack" which I hope they'll work on at some point. Oh and fire/dot damage networking bugs really need fixing. Had plenty of times where small bugs just walk around on fire like "this is fine" and only die to flamethrower direct damage.

@@true_cyan9188 that might be the host bug with damage over time. If I understand it correctly, if you don't become the map host, then damage over time doesn't do any damage for you (gas/burn), so a bug part of it's damage is gone.

Where the Recoiless Rifle really shines I think are in Defence and Escort missions and during Extraction. Where all ammo, supplies and extra Support weapons you call down are concentrated in a single area. 2 people with RR can wipe out every Heavy and Elite of the wave with laughable ease and should already have resupply ready by the time the wave ends.

Just started using the auto cannon for bots and bugs. For bugs it definitely struggles with chargers and titans but the utility you have in your hands is insane and it frees up more space for stratagems that can take out those targets. Goodbye bubble shield

Arc Thrower should require backpack power generator. All support weapons should be Quasar level. Machineguns need some rework. Maybe some specific mechanics like stationary turret mode, direct ammo feed from backpack.

Stalwart is a secret S for bugs. Use eats, laser guard dog, 500kg and a heavy hitting primary like the new explosive sniper. My favorite build that melts all mobs

Yeah agreed, I run MG, Erupter, stun nades, and machine pistol with 500kg, Laser GD, and Rail Canon. Excellent self CC on bugs and gives you lots of utility to take on nests solo on high difficulties

One mistake I always see with people using the spear and you did so aswell is you that you are moving while trying to lock on. I don’t mean your camera I mean you as in your helldiver is move. You really need to plant your feet and lock onto an enemy for it to lock on consistently. This does mean that once you are in the fires of the war, it will be hard to use as you can’t easily make that space to lock on without being trampled or shot at but if you consistently manage to stay behind the team, you are a valuable asset for taking care of the largest of enemies and some structures aswell. Just remember to plant your feet and sway your camera slowly as you are locking on and you will have fun with the spear.

The Quasar actually isn't all that great for shooting down drop ships. It takes three seconds of charge up before the weapon actually fires which is enough time for most of the bots to have been dropped off and the ten second cooldown before another shot can be charged means that you're generally only going to be able to shoot down one of the drop ships for each bot drop. Shooting down drop ships in general isn't all that great, it only kills some of the bots and the wreckage actually provides cover for the survivors.

Btw i personal like the anti-material rifle and autocannon HOWEVER! i notice its horrible weakness when it comes to vehicle armored enemies which i literally can see the bullets being deflected that leads me frustrated 😫, as results i go for heavy weapons that are designed punching 👊 thru enemy vehicle armor. Anti-tank expendable, recoiless rifle, quasar cannon, and SPEAR are usually my picks. My top two favorite is quasar for being soo good and reliable for being an energy bazooka with unlimited ammo and decent cool down, while SPEAR is basically a futuristic Javelin launcher, and i love it ❤ but in my opinion its lock on system needs abit more tweak.

@true_cyan9188 Same! I notice the Autocannon and sentry Autocannon are two different weapons and sentry Autocannon can actually punch 👊 through tank armor, while support Autocannon cannot! If they ever buff the Autocannon (which I doubt it) it would stupidly broken! And remember Autocannon support weapon has two fire mode, single and full auto! And the full auto is just broken but fun 😁

The Autocanon belongs in S-Tier. At least for Bot-Missions. It can destroy Automaton-Fabricators from very far. It is one of the most versatile weapon in the entire game, especially against medium sized enemies like Devastators, Warrior-Bugs, Scout-Striders. Plus that sound of that gun is just "Nice".😂 There's only one thing left to say: "More DAKKAAAA!!!"😂🤘

AMR damage buff was 30% not 20% as far as I know I can't understand why people should have been thinking it wasn't viable and/or good before that Buff I used it all the time against Bots on Helldive That Rifle is just awesome

Bug objective missions = Arc Thrower Bug defend mission = Spear hands down. If you pin, the lock-on is much better Bot objective = AMR Bot defense = QC

I am in love with the Quesar cannon. Having infnite ammo and no need for a backpack slot is a game changer. At the same time, you have to wait quite a significant time between shots which makes it balanced. Love this weapon, but i disagree with you. Its not overpowered

You see, when fighting robots, something that can pierce armour and shoot fast is much more useful than the quesar cannon (like the autocannon). I find the quesar cannon to be better for bugs, since it is exceptionally effective against chargers and even bile titans. So, personally i believe its better for bugs.

For example, try the Laser Cannon against bots and aim for the weakspots. And then explain how the B, A and S tier choices of you can be any better...

The laser cannon has never really worked for me, I will give it more of a shot next time I play but the times I have used it did not feel amazing. But could be operator error a lot of the weapons have quirks you gotta figure out

The recoilless rifle is god tier for bots and you have obviously never used it more than a couple times. You couldn't even bother to get any footage of you using it at all? It can 1 shot hulks, dropships, and gunships, and easily take out cannons and tanks with 2-3 shots from incredible ranges without having to wait 15 seconds between shots. I agree that it doesn't have enough ammo but if you just hit your shots you can easily make it to the next resupply before running out. It is almost identical to the quesar you ranked at S tier, except you trade a long cooldown between shots for a backpack.

Also the viability of any of these stratagems depends on your loadout and playstyle in any case.

Bro putting AC in A tier... Gotto tell you - against bots try being in a team with 4 Quasars. Then do the same but with 3 Quasar and a single AC. You will 100% understand the difference. The only thing in the whole game the weapon can't handle is the Bile Titan - the Quasar struggles with way more targets(even if it's due their sheer numbers).

@@true_cyan9188 amazing. It does not matter if you chose to fire at the face or at the underbelly - IMO the best tool to dispatch them. Or at least nothing else can do it that quicker.

I did do that, I put it in the beginning on the tier list, I loop it in with the machine guns cause it functions kinda the same. Medium pen with a lot of “bullets” tho I would probably say it’s better against the bots than the other machine guns just cause a beam is easier to aim I think. Could be wrong thi

Yeah, hope you luck on completing lvl 8,9 without an AC in the team. Without AC how will you deal with swarm of Devastator in Lvl 8+9. Quasar is over hyped especially compare to AC.

I use the sickle for the devastators after wind up it’s SUPER accurate and takes them down pretty fast. I’m not sure if the AC works well against the new factory strider? Either way I should give it another try on the bots

Another overrated Quasar video Just blindedly by free ammo and backpack slot, to ignore how bad perform of it compare to others (rof, positioning, aiming stability, risk of miss aim), faster velocity and non-drop trajectory cant show it much better than other ATs. - An AT so bad dat sometime it needs EAT as sidearm to boost overall perform really deserve C Tier - Remember, u can leave AT work to Air support, playing around with AT for wut? Shooting the leftovers, indeed, so many ammo for wut? - Even Laser Cannon still better than Quasar, faster cooldown, stable aiming, quickly disable any Heavy, free to kill any medium. work faster and more eff-, not playing around out of combat and say its meta btw Autocannon able to shoot everything to get B Tier? Really? Unable to kill Heavy ezly so get B while Heavies are the least number on the map? Dont u know these things: - AC is the fastest backpack weapon reloading - U can just ignore Charger or blow its back by 3 AC rounds? - Titan never move faster than player walking? - AC can disable Tank's track? kill Shredder by sides? - AC disable Hulk's leg, blow up its arm and 2 shot for kill at eye? - AC staggers all any medium?

I have heard the auto cannon is better on the bots than I gave it credit for, as I said in the video I have not used it a lot. I’m going to use it more and get a more full opinion of it, thanks for your comment!

Im sorry but the auto cannon not being S has to be a skill issue, its the best weapon in the game for killing automatons unless you cant hit your shots.
