@@RoadWarrior77He's a.... Musician. His weapon of choice is a shaped piece of wood with metal woven strings attached. For real though, just look him up on the yootoobs(with Luke Holland) for his own material. Once you hear some of that, you might be able to pick out his personal flavors in this song. His signature is all over it. I'd suggest Upside Down and Tendinitis, they're both different than this but they showcase how he plays and writes pretty well. Those are just the first two that came to mind btw, he has a lot of great material.
@kevbo39087 ай бұрын
@@RoadWarrior77 He's been in the metal scene for awhile now. But he's been known to elevate every band he is in and has a unique sound. He first became I would say "well known" when he tried out for All Shall Perish and became a touring member for a bit in the early 2000s. He then was in Born of Osiris for a bit and wrote arguably their most technical album. He then went to Chelsea Grin and wrote arguably their most technical album. He then went on to just do solo / guest stuff for a bit, which he continues now. And now he is obviously in All That Remains.

This song became the surprise of the year for me. Such a very complex song but all mixed in an almost perfect way! Congrats to the all crew who made this song possible.

I've born in 1971, so I have been ridicously spoiled by legendary bands before 2000. And since then, I've been *STARVING* for good music! This is it! Thank you ATR and thank you Phil, I really love your discussions on Timcast IRL.

I never imagined anyone being a guitarist for this band other than Oli. But man Jason f***in shreds!!! He does us Fans and Olis legacy proud for sure ❤

Yeah man. Jason is the best lead guitar in the game.

The range this band has is insane! Going heavy as hell then flipping to angelic singing in the same breath. Keep doing your thing guys!

came here on the back of the 'magnetron' drumcorps remix by eyes of your eyes. it's like the most brutal assault with the most refreshing catharsis after.

I don't typically like this type of music, just came to listen because of Phil being on Timcast. Holy smokes dude, y'all killed it with this song. Those drums man...

The solo is so positive and spirit-lifting sounding it reminds me of something I’d expect out of dream theater.

Love that the drums in the chorus are a clear call back to This Calling. Amazing

Is the bridge not also the same vocal pattern as the bridge from This Calling? I feel this song is just Easter eggs and references stacked upon each other and I love it

that's what I was thinking too haha I love it. The fast double bass in the chorus and the first drum fill makes me think of This Calling :D They said they have a 10 song album almost ready, I can't wait!

I’ve been listening to everything from No fun at all, 59 times the pain, to Parkway drive, IKTPQ, Slaughter to prevail, pennywise.. from 1994 to 2024 I can honestly say I’m heartbroken that this is the first time I’ve listened to this band. This song takes me back to a time when music was beautiful, it was fresh and original, and even though it feels like it’s from 2006 it could be 2326 and I’d be all for it. ❤❤❤❤
