I fundamentally never listen to singles before a new album release because it somehow ruins the experience of listening to the full album for me. But when AntiFragile started with Divine, and I was IMMEDIATELY completely enchanted-only to find out afterward that it was one of the singles from the new album-I have NEVER been this mad at myself. Realizing that I’ve missed out on having this song in my life for eight whole months is absolutely killing me. What an INCREDIBLY DIVINE song-I love absolutely everything about it. @@RoadWarrior77He's a.... Musician. His weapon of choice is a shaped piece of wood with metal woven strings attached. For real though, just look him up on the yootoobs(with Luke Holland) for his own material. Once you hear some of that, you might be able to pick out his personal flavors in this song. His signature is all over it. I'd suggest Upside Down and Tendinitis, they're both different than this but they showcase how he plays and writes pretty well. Those are just the first two that came to mind btw, he has a lot of great material.
@kevbo39089 ай бұрын
@@RoadWarrior77 He's been in the metal scene for awhile now. But he's been known to elevate every band he is in and has a unique sound. He first became I would say "well known" when he tried out for All Shall Perish and became a touring member for a bit in the early 2000s. He then was in Born of Osiris for a bit and wrote arguably their most technical album. He then went to Chelsea Grin and wrote arguably their most technical album. He then went on to just do solo / guest stuff for a bit, which he continues now. And now he is obviously in All That Remains.

It's so wild to see Phil speak and share opinions regularly on IRL and then you see this and it's staggering. What a motherf'king tempest! Thoughtful human being, tremendous talent, and spectacular band all around. Definitely get this album!

Love that guy Phil! Not only can he sing, but he's well spoken and knowledgeable in many different areas.. And he doesn't hesitate to stand up for what's right. I really enjoy him, and I look fwd to when Phil That Remains, "Failed Musician" is on panel!

Bro I found this band when I was in Iraq in 2006. Their music helped me then to stay the course. Hearing this song brought back the survival and pride feeling I had then. Love this BAND!!! 🤘🔥

The solo is so positive and spirit-lifting sounding it reminds me of something I’d expect out of dream theater.

Freaking jaw drop… you really can’t explain the feeling when you hear an older band drop new music that slaps just as hard as the originals

I’ve been listening to everything from No fun at all, 59 times the pain, to Parkway drive, IKTPQ, Slaughter to prevail, pennywise.. from 1994 to 2024 I can honestly say I’m heartbroken that this is the first time I’ve listened to this band. This song takes me back to a time when music was beautiful, it was fresh and original, and even though it feels like it’s from 2006 it could be 2326 and I’d be all for it. ❤❤❤❤
