Tune down? This song is already played 1-1/2 steps lower than a standard guitar! C# standard instead of E standard. I don't think you could tune an acoustic much lower.... Lol

+Chance Hawkins actually.. I do play guitar.. both acoustic and electric.. my acoustic is currently tuned to drop C with 14-58 strings and it barely holds its tune... any lower on an acoustic and your strings will be either too heavy to play.. or practically falling off the guitar... electrics are set up completely differently from acoustics.. but most metal guys like yourself wouldn't know the first thing about setting up an acoustic for drop tuning...

+Jay Lee the fact ATR got drop C# out of an acoustic is actually pretty amazing by any standards.. and I can guarantee their guitarists hands were sore as hell at the end of these sessions..

+Jay Lee on top of that.. he likely needed to re-tune between every take.. and probably had to tune differently to play on the higher registers.. most likely would need to be tuned a little bit sharp for any note above the 5th or 6th fret as the intonation would be considerably compromised this high up on the neck.. acoustic guitars are not set up to play this low.. the bridge is not set back far enough to keep the intonation true. believe me bud.. I've probably forgotten more than you know about guitars.... lol
