Why is ASUS the only 3rd party AIB implementing more than 1x HDMI 2.1 ports in their RTX 50 variants while all other brands only include 1x HDMI 2.1 port? I need at least 2x HDMI 2.1 port for connection with a 4K 120hz GSYNC TV and an AV Receiver. It is unfortunate that only ASUS is including more than 1 HDMI 2.1 ports. Hence, we've only one brand to choose from in this situation.

@@ZackSNetwork While yes some people wouldn't mind doing that, the setup will be much more cleaner without additional adapters. Additionally compatibility and other adapter related issues could be introduced in the process. Asus is including 2x HDMI ports without the expense of removing a display port. They are basically ADDING extra ports for their users which is much appreciated. Of course, I'm aware of Asus's poor customer/after sales warranty handling, hence we'll have to wait and see if they change for the better otherwise, I'll have no choice but to go the adapter route. I still don't like how the other manufacturers are offering lesser ports though.

Usually I am not a fan of conspiracies, but if you look closely, ALL the Nvidia demos at CES 2025 were performed with Cyberpunk and Black Myth: Wukong. Not a SINGLE one included Runescape 3, 4k, all ultra. The reason for that is that Jagex do not support DLSS tech and RTX 5000 series are still not capable of stable 60fps at the Varrock Grand Exchange.

I'm torn on upgrading my 4070 Super to a 5080. I play on a 4K TV, so the 4070 super is just borderline, it works fine for a lot of games above 60 fps, and some others I need to use DLSS to get over the hump. I am wondering just how much better the 5080 will be than the 4070 super? 50%? 60%? 75%?

@Fragmaker456 Turns out they are fan pins for extra fans. You can connect them using the GPU instead of the mobo or an argb hub. The GPU uses indirect lighting and is controlled using Aura Sync and requires no extra cables.

Why do all the 3rd party air cooled cards seem to have exposed cooling fins on the motherboard side of the card, next to the PCIE connector? Won't any already hot M.2 drives in this area of the motherboard be blasted directly by hot air exhausting from the cooling fins on this side of the card? It seems the FE card, with passthrough only cooling, avoids this.

I would recommend you to buy an ROG Astral 5080, its probably not going to be as expensive in terms of performance/price-ratio as the ROG Astral 5090 and you will have superior cooling due to the 4 fans , which other partner cards do not include. I think this could be a perfect sweet spot, if cooling is really important to you.

I get your point, based on my past experiences and reviews I read, the cooling on FE Cards has Always been insufficient for my demands. Hence I would recommend you to either get the Astral 5090 or the Astral 5090 LC with water cooling, If the price is no issue ​@@big_smexy_gaming6510

@@big_smexy_gaming6510Back in the day, FE cards were expected to be broken down to be water cooled so Nvidia just had a cheap case on it for show. These days, the FE cards cooling is decent and fine as is or as good. FE cards also bin higher than partners.

1080 Strix already had those fan connections in GPU, very useful now when usually front panel fans blow air into GPU and CPU get often liquid cooling from top of the case. Just realize that 1080 fan socket was on head of the card. Side is wrong location for them

With graphics cards which are using an AIO with it to water cool it.. if part of that goes wrong, its a whole new graphics card with the entire AIO which will have to be replaced.. we all know how a CPU AIO works, its bolted onto the CPU.. if the AIO goes bad, you just replace the AIO, not the CPU as well.. maybe for these graphics card makers who want to add an AIO to a Graphics card, if they could figure a way to BOLT an AIO onto the graphics card, then if its just the AIO which goes bad, I can just replace that instead of having to replace the entire GPU with the AIO as well..
