Ant was so cool. I cried when he passed because I could imagine what his tortured soul went through. I really liked him. Same here, I prefer old beat up books (with intact cover and spine). We are very fortunate to have a Friends of the Library bookstore in our library. Everything is $1 including lots of hardbacks in every genre. You always have great recs. I know I won't read Lolita (I know I can't stomach it) but so many of these sound good. This month, after a long wait on the Libby app, I finally got my turn to read Kindred and started it this week. I'll be finishing up The Midnight Library.I DNF'd Misery, A Psalm for the Crown-shy (too much foul language for me) and Mildred Pierce (Libby loans took over)

Lol when those Libby loans hit all at once I get so. Flustered lol. All in all it sounds like you had a good reading month. Oh you didn’t like Misery by Stephan King? That’s surprising only because I loved the movie.

@jadeddiamonds9983 hahaha yes! Libby can hit like monthly billypay hahaha. The writing was really good in Misery but the language was a bit too much for me. I believe I saw Misery on regular cable (edited with dubbed voice overs and deleted scenes) as a kid. Mr. I might try another novel- maybe Firestarter. I understand there will be some language but he got grimey. I'm know it was connected with the character's frustration and pain but It just wasn't for me. Either way, I totally get why Stephen King is so popular. He's an amazing writer.
