I have an indie copy pf Blood Over Bright Haven and it is truly fantastic! Probably runner up for my favorite fantasy of the year (It is close, but The Will of the Many is definitely my favorite.) I don't know if I am right, but I pronounced the MC's name SCI (like the beginning of science) long O na. Just putting in another case for a Dowry of Blood - it was probably my third place finisher for fantasy/speculative books (but who knows what I will read in the next 2 months!). Academy for Liars is up there, too. I read a lot of fantasy but I also read lit fic. I really didn't like Beautiful World Where Are You when I read it last year, but something about Intermezzo intrigued me. So I gave Sally Rooney another shot, and I am so glad I did - I thought Intermezzo was great. I hope you enjoy it. BUT Coco Mellor's Blue Sisters is my top lit fic for the year. I adored it!! PS: I guess I will have to go back and try Normal People now.

I highly recommend you make Dinner for Vampires an immersive reading. I listened to the audio last week, and Bethany narrates it. It's how I always read my celebrity memoirs when they narrate their own books, and it's always the best experience 👌 I also highly recommend Blood over Bright Haven: it's a very convoluted fantasy world and it took me a while to understand its magic, but man it's worth it! My Darling Dreadful Thing was super scary. I don't usually scare but this one made me excitedly uncomfortable 🧟 One Dark Window on the other hand, I really disliked the writing. I can't wait to hear your take on them all! I hope I will able to read The Life Impossible, Intermezzo, and Wisteria by the end of the year 🤞

The end of the year is coming by real fast... I would like to read the last book of the Beartown trilogy, The Winners (Fredrik Backman) - I started it this weekend and I'm already almost 200 pages in, but this one is on the longer side. I would also like to read the last book of the Finlay Donovan series, Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice. I have Terry Pratchett's biography, A Life with Footnotes, that would be a great read for Non-Fiction November. I've also borrowed a couple of Christmasy/wintery romances from the library, Just Like Magic and Eight Perfect Hours. The rest of my reading will be dictated by mood.
