2:30 here in 2024 and i’ll say the same thing i’ve always said: justice for Josh 🥹 everytime i watch this scene where he’s confused by the whole situation i just wanna give my bro a hug. he was done dirty and even then he still had Lara Jean’s back. he’s such a sweetheart and i feel so bad for what happened to him. sure, LJ eventually apologized, but i wish he was in the sequels so we could see more of him outside of that mess and just see him happy. at least you get a little bit of an update in the books

He’s well-known by the target audience of the movies, and he’s talented, so it makes sense to me. I don’t think this move needed any diversity points. Casting a half Black actor doesn’t endear the franchise to Black people.
