We tried 3 different flavors of 'gelato' on MG and they were all really bland. Tbh, I think it's basically that same cheap soft-serve with a touch of added flavor, not actual gelato.

It’s possible that it’s better on Horizon than Mardi Gras. husband says that he also sort of remembers not liking the gelato as much on either MG or Celebration (or both?). I don’t really remember - I was so full the entire time I was on both Excel class ships 😆

@@chrysvest4746 I guess you got lucky b/c on the MG it had very little flavor--and probably was not even real gelato. Like much of the food we had on MG, it wasn't 'bad'--just blander than expected, not the quality we were hoping for.

Benn on all Carnival ships and bacon every other day is the norm for all. Gotta be one of the most stupidest & cheapest things Carnival does. My God, the average cost per person per cruise is about $1400.00 . You'd think customers could get bacon EVERY DAY!!! ...panthodic (:

I really agree with this. They also completely removed the bacon from the Guy’s Burgers toppings bar (the pig patty isn’t as good as the crumbles imo). They cut bacon when there was a shortage (?) and then didn’t bring it back. Rude.

More ridiculous things; Buffet salad bar; One day raisins, next day cranberries. Can't have both, oh no, no! We here at Carnival are too cheap! Also, all ships use to have a self serve cold milk dispensary machine @ Buffett. Some of us like cold milk with our deserts at lunch & dinner. Now now, only time you can get milk is in the morning, how fn' stupid!@@laurenofalltrades
