I own a 2021 Ascent but am currently driving a 2023 loaner vehicle while mine gets a recall repair. I love both! I think I prefer the smaller display to this larger one-when I am driving it helps to have buttons for my fingers to feel from memory. The interior is quite similar with both-I LOVE the third row and captains seats, great for kids and back folds down for trunk space if needed.

Just came across your video…I bought a 2023 Ascent Touring a couple of days ago. It’s shipping from another dealership. I was anxious to know how some of the bells and whistles work (my husband has a new Outback so I had a bit of a head start). This video was fabulous. I’ll be checking out more of your videos. This was a great video. You are the first person I have found to thoroughly go through the 2023 ascent interior features. I wasn't able to test drive the 2023 model, so seeing the upgrades was extremely useful. If you happen to get a 2023 touring, a short video showing those small extras not on the limited trim would be great.

Excellent review here! I have a 2019 Ascent Touring and you have actually explained some features that I have but never really used. Since my Ascent was one of the first, I have had a few recalls, but everything was taken care of very smoothly. I live in northern Ohio so our seasons are much like yours and this vehicle handles everything. I only have 10,000 miles on it after 48 months, (mostly due to Covid downtime months), but I really appreciate this SUV more and more. I traded a Mercedes SUV for this and the Subaru matches the MB in most ways (except for cost of ownership which was huge for Mercedes). My wife has an older Outback that she loves but I think she will start driving the Ascent so your video has helped me to explain those similar features you have covered. Thanks

I've had the Ascent Touring for five months and still haven't learned all the features. Thanks for this video. Just an FYI, that Harmon Kardon system can get really loud without any distortion. Not that there is any call for really loud, but it's there if you want to impress your friends.

I got the Onyx Limited. The only feature that I believe the Onyx Limited does not have is the Power folding mirrors and I believe cool mode for the front seats. It does seem to have every other feature that the touring has.

@@Robert_Coxare you sure? Looking at the wiring diagrams, it looks like everything is localized to the steering column. Heated wheel module, harness, clockspring, and steering wheel will need to be changed. There's no interface with the BCM, etc. Provided the car is already wired for it in the dash harness, which I am betting it is.

I believe the Onyx, Limited and Touring trims do. Not sure about lower trims. It's done through the mysubaru app, but I believe it requires a subscription.

Any model 2020 or newer Subaru with an automatic transmission and keyless access can be remote started through the MySubaru app! 2020 and newer Legacy/Outback and 2023 Ascent allow you to also adjust climate temperature through the app!

It's because it is a brand new car and there is no driving data to base the number off of. We tell everyone to not pay attention to that until they have gone through a full tank of gas and filled up
