They say Britney and Nsync, but Brandy had major hits, starred in her own tv show, worked on movies, and was a spokesperson for major brands - multiple jobs!!!. Does her race matter? Brandy was definitely one of our "it girls" in the 90's who is STILL relevant and is STILL making music today!! So whoever said she's a has been just simply is not keeping up and are simply haters!! I still listen to her music now as well as so are all of her millions of fans. My fave song from her debut album (also one of my fave albums by her) is "Best Friend & "Always On My Mind." My faves off of "Never Say Never" is "Angel In Disguise", "Almost Doesn't Count" & "Put That On Everything." "Full Moon" is my fave from her third album of the same name. Moesha is still one of my fave shows ever. The Cinderella movie helped her to make history and she also had her own Barbie doll as well. And let's not forget she put braids on the map in an epic way!!

Brandy is not an has been but after the marriage hoax and the car accident and some marketing mistakes (Vibe magazine cover) and long breaks between album releases her popularity and sales were never the close or comparable to her commercial peak in the 90s

Brandi is so iconic and does not get the recognition she deserves. I used to work in a Mr Movies video rental store and we could play G or PG movies on the screens. I played her Cinderella everyday. She is so talented its almost unreal.

Brand-Nu! Forever that girl! An ICON! A DIVA! THEE VOCAL BIBLE! As a teen in the 90s Brandy was such an inspiration for regular, unambiguously Black girls! She was talented, intelligent, beautiful and fly! Back then, most of the Black girls on TV were biracial, curly hair, etc. Brandy represented Black girl excellence in the 90s and I am forever grateful to her. I’m just sorry she had to suffer in the process. My favorite Brandy songs are Full Moon and Angel in Disguise.

Her sophomore and junior albums are amongst my favorite from each respective decade. I was born after her prime, I remember hearing "I Wanna Be Down" on music choice alot growing up.
