I wish I had some good advice for you on your hotel price dilemma but commuting into such an expensive city doesn't leave too many options except a crash pad situation or trying to rent an apartment. When I commuted to JFK there were a couple hotels on Long Island that gave good crew discounts. Also, there was a Best Western, maybe in Hempstead. They had transportation to JFK. Unfortunately, I don't remember their names, but you can ask around and might be able to find them.

Also dont stay at hotels by jfk and lga. Neither are in great areas. Try seeing if you can get in on a crash pad with your fellow NY crew. Alot of FAs stay in an area called Kew Gardens which is super convenient and nice.

You may also want to consider an AirBnB - some are very accommodating for guests like flight attendants, traveling nurses, etc.

I commuted for 40 years….except when I was pregnant. Never gets easy..and I looked young so getting on the aircraft over others was no no no. I would get asked if I was using my Pilot husbands passes.

I admit, as a guy, I really don't pay attention to the "beauty tips" on Jojo's vlogs (I enjoy everything else, just not in the beauty tips for the ladies)... With that said, I really enjoyed watching the eye curler tool in use. It was so fascinating, I rather enjoyed it. LOL

Seems like a lot of flight attendants really like Starbucks. I never cared for them. They are overpriced and I've had better coffee. When I fly I bring the crew a bag of gourmet snacks and drinks and I like to throw in a pack of Cafe Bustelo or Taster's Choice. I might bring a jar of Delallo instant espresso next time. Its organic

I thought you were moving to NYC for a while. I must have missed the part where you said you were commuting. Commuting sounds way too stressful for me. The jumpseat sucks. I got "invited" to sit there once which was fun on a one hour flight but would not recommend it for more than that unless you want a sore butt. Our tiny airline let anyone who worked there ride jumpseat

I don't know when you filmed this, but Phoenix is the last place anyone should be going now. Day after day after day of temps at 110 or above. Also I cannot imagine why you do botox.
