Watching your videos is better than therapy! So informative, but so encouraging, accepting and uplifting too! Not everyone makes for being a great teacher or instructor, but you most-certainly are! Just subscribed to your channel and the joy that your passion holds for you is absolutely contagious. Just bought my first Dremel and am going to order some bits this week. Am going to try to carve my first project, faces on a large Redwood walking stick or staff. Just going to take my time, try to enjoy the process and see what comes of it over the next six or seven months, no rush and am going to try to stay away from the idea that it has to be perfect or even a certain way. Just have fun, come whatever it may. Anyhow, thank you so much for your awesome videos!

Kutzall extreme flame burr...anyone can do this... 2 sentences that have changed the course of my life and my passion. Jordy Johnson “anyone can do this woodspirit carving for beginners” was the only video I came across when I was trying to learn how to start doing some type of carving which actually has a tutorial to show you how to start. Actually teaching! Not showing how amazing he is. I wouldn’t be carving if it wasn’t for this video I’ve watched a hundred plus times now. Hello from Russia! I've watched 1 minute of the video but i already can say this is the best guide for beginners! 36 y.o., just ordered my Dremel 8260. My reason for carving may looks crazy: i hate hot or cold tea. So i've decided to build a device with cup warmer and fans to make hot tea cold enough rapidly and keep it warm enough) Of course all of my fans have argb lightning. Why? Because i use pc fans and it's not really hard to buy separate argb controller. How wood carving involved in this? Well, i need some kind of stand for all of that stuff. And need to do channels in wood for all wires and plugs. Before Dremel i've used Engraving pen Arrowmax, but it's died yesterday. Probably can't handle this kind of work.

Thanks! I just upgraded to the 4000 from the little stylo one , and was pretty overwhelmed by the amount of attachments and bits available and which ones I should use for carving. My kit didn’t come with the flex shaft so it looks like I have to pick one up, it did come with the detailers grip but honestly i think even with that its still too clunky to hold for long work sessions compared to the dremel stylo that I’m used to lol.
@stinky59
@stinky59 2 жыл бұрын
Update: the cutzall burrs are on Amazon prime right now, and they’re only $15 for the 1/8 shaft ones! Ordered a flame burr and the flex shaft to make using it more ergonomic lol because I’ve been straining my wrist trying to get the regular dremel 4000 at a good angle to further hollow out the inside of these wooden hinges lol. Thanks again for the recommendations!!
@bozhidarkn
@bozhidarkn 2 жыл бұрын
@@stinky59 is the upgrade worth it - with and without the flex shaft? Thanks!
@stinky59
@stinky59 2 жыл бұрын
@@bozhidarkn yes for sure, but it depends what you need it for! even without the flex grip the 4000 rotates much faster and has more attachments. i would never attempt to cut wood with the stylo but i was able to cut and carve pieces of plywood with the 4000. however the stylo is still better for carving little details and sanding other materials, i use it to smooth out plastic parts and to sand resin casts of my sculptures, but the 4000 is better for woodworking and cutting. if you’re just carving or sanding small projects the stylo is fine! but if you need to cut wood and carve big things faster then the 4000 is better
