I really Hesitated before playing this one. But ultimately I feel it has a great opportunity to tell a compelling story, and I'm here for it... even if it does make me cry in the end.

WOWWWWW!! I really was not expecting a dark ending either. I thought the harmonica was going to work that final time, but Anling really did turn into a “zombie” zombie. I felt bad for Cody during that scene. I grown so attached to these characters and that ending is so sad. I just want to say this was a great playthrough and I really enjoyed watching this. Thanks for doing all the endings. I can’t wait for another interesting playthrough as good as this one. I also can’t wait for more content as the developers add more to this game. Thanks again for playing this game and exploring it. I know you struggled a bit with the first ending because 5 days isn’t much time to escape, but I’m glad you made it through.

i think out of all the endings extinguish is one that got to my hart stings cause there properly reunited and it helps even more when at the end they can communicate again. thank you back log for these videos because these are the first videos i have found from you channel

Welcome to the Backlog then! And yeah, Extinguish was very well written. The one that was most rewarding for all the work getting all these, has to be the other side of that path, where he has to kill his mom's zombie, and then survives alone in the infection zone.

Imagine seeing your mom at the brink of death while you're tryna survive 😭 Edit 2: 27:43 the bgm is needlessly sad Edit 3: Wait, I need explanation on what happened after Cody pulled the trigger. He evacuated safely??? Edit 4: 40:41 oh damn 0_O THAT'S SO SAD AND PLEASANT AT THE SAME TIME 😭 THEYRE TOGETHER BUT AT WHAT COST?! 0: I know right?! 1: Yeah ending 2 and 3 are very sad! Not the saddest I've seen in games but, 3: I think so yeah. I think that's the "Good" ending, where Anling taught her son enough to survive. 4: Yah, in my mind that's the "Dark" ending. Together, but in living death. 5: Yeah, My thoughs exactly! (And yeah, you should totaly check out my playthrough of games like Gris, RiME, A Plague Tale and it's sequel (That one is the closest in feel, but the other two are VERY underrated games!)

Even with how painful the dark ending is (and the fact that it makes me want to cry), its probably my favorite ending in this game ;w;

Yeah, I found out about the 4th ending after I posted this, but it's a real bear to get! I'm working on it though. How many more are there? I've only heard of 4.

@@atlas4034 Odd, since there is a steam achievement for each of the 4 I've identified and one for reaching "all 4 epilogs". That's how I found out there was a fouth.

I've tried a half dozen times to get the fourth ending, and Have not even gotten close! It's just such a slog to have Cody Care for his mom!

I wonder if there is an ending with the lab and the dr that was working on a cure, those endings were wild!

Not that I've heard of. The lab, apparently, is there to explain the zombies and so when Anling is half zombified, she can be given the serum to allow her more lucidity. But the Doctor never finished the cure, and I've heard takes her own life.
