I've been getting a little better at not grabbing the brake on the downhill jumps, but dirt jumps have still been a struggle! Need to get to MTBing Adventures level!

Another great video. Next spring/summer we are going to hit Snowmass. As many other Colorado places as well. If it gets too cold up there head down here to southern AZ. Our riding season is just starting!

Good to see that there are still some KZbinrs riding Evils. Nice riding!
@OutdoorGold5 жыл бұрын
My Evil doesn't make it to KZbin very often, I have to constantly maintain my Yeti for KZbin getting rid of all the bad noises. I ride my Evil as my casual ride when I'm working on my Yeti whereas I don't care if I have all the creaking, squeaking, on the Insurgent!

LOL, you are funny, a grom? You are a chunk master, you cut your teeth on lunch loops. You casually ride the toilet bowl for breakfast every day. You have flow and style, drops and jumps are second nature. You are the silent sandbagging trail slayer. Everybody beware of RC.

Thanks Kris! I did a good job of staying off the brakes but needed some more pop on some of those. I went back and took care of the business without the camera and it get pretty crazy lol The best footage is the footage you got so I went with it.

How does it compare to Trestle? I’m heading to CO next week.
@andrewrivera40296 жыл бұрын
Great POV! Near and far are in perfect focus! Question: did u tune your suspension for the bike park? Add remove volume reducers? Pressure change? Hi/low speed damping? Just wondering.
@OutdoorGold6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrew. Both forks I run, a 36 and Ribbon have MRP ramp control. That gives me a dial for adjustable volume spacers (4 clicks = 1 token). As a result my Ribbon doesn't have a high speed comp, because I can't get the same performance with the ramp control and I don't really mess with low speed, I leave it open. On flow trails I leave my ramp off for a linear fork equivalent to 0 spacers and if I ride some chunky stuff with drops I give it 8 clicks = 2 tokens and a more bottomless feel, I might give high speed a couple clicks (36) as well. I change my forks all the time depending on the trail. Rear shocks are cut and dry, I leave them alone with my standard settings that include volume reducers. If I dont know a trail well I'll stay open on low speed and stick with 6 clicks of ramp.

Thats a fact, last year Gravity Logic gave the jumps some more pop but it seems like the wear knocked the tops off. I have plenty of jumping problems in general lol

How does this course compare to something like A Line in Whistler? I am coming to Colorado soon and planning to ride Snowmass. I love Flow, but wanted to gauge if this is easier or harder than A Line (which I have ridden) as hard to tell on video?
@OutdoorGold5 жыл бұрын
Having not ridden A line, my assumption is Valhalla does not have the features that A line and thus I think A- is more difficult because it requires higher speeds. Sometimes the tables get kind of primitive and worn down and other times they are shaped to kick you high in the air. This year I don't think they were rebuilt so condition are similar to what you see in the video.

@@OutdoorGold Great so should be able to hit it after a few warm up laps. I am also hitting crested butte and trestle, any other reccomendations?

Oh man braking bumps right before a jump. Who did that??
@OutdoorGold6 жыл бұрын
hahahaha 100%, thats an mtb sin! lol I think part of the problem was the extreme drought, there has been an inconsistent amount of loose dirt beneath hard pack and the was chunking pretty bad. Thanks James!
