Detrail Berg 155, Commencal Meta V5 and SX V5, Canyon Torque and Canyon Spectral cause cheaper and Aluminium options then the Strive. the list goes on, where's the budget pics and bikes for regular people who aren't racing everywhere?

They’re all garbage these days they certainly don’t care about the reader. Did you maybe get the pedal and shred sides for the strive mixed up? Right looks pre compressed and therefore better for pedaling or am I missing something? 🤔

Yup, they did. Took the pics from the Canyon promotional material for the Shapeshifter but mixed up the description. Also makes sense given that the Shapeshifter engages shred mode under load and Pedal mode while being unloaded.

had a strive in 2022. the shapeshifter broke after 2 rides. literally no one local can fix it. had to return it to Germany and buy a new bike and deal with customs. never buy anything that has proprietary tech no one can fix.

That is the downside of both proprietary tech and buying direct from the manufacturer rather than a dealer, can be more time consuming if things go wrong

Nothing wrong with reviewing fast bikes. Easier and safer to ride a spirited pace on a fast bike than a slow one. Nothing wrong with riding a fast bike slowly either. If you’ve got macho-ego issues then just ride a hard tail…

@@mihaildimovski4007 having tools rattling around in your frame doesn't seem like a good idea. Annoying at least. It adds weight to the frame versus in your pack. And the space always seems too small to be worth it. I'd rather just add a frame pack or use my hydration pack
