I don't know if that happens with paint, but scientifically white light is when the light contains all of the wavelengths. That's why both natural and artificial white light makes a rainbow when shined through a prism,the structure ofthe prism separates the different wavelengths from each other. Something that is black is absorbing all the wavelengths of light something that is white reflects all wavelengths of light

On the Star Sapphires: Its been a long while since I read the Lantern comics (since the 'War of Light' series I think), but WHY is the entity associated with Love called "The Predator", and looks like a rip off Xenomorph? 😧 Did the writer have a bad experience with an Ex when he wrote this lore? 😂 Also, for the Blue Lantern Oath: I wonder if it was changed by Mandate From Above, because it just seems to make more sense to say "When all seems lost in the Blackest Night" instead of "War of Light", but they were introduced during the War of Light story, and the upcoming 'Blackest Night' was a secret then.

Actually white is the color produced when light has all wavelengths of light, that's why when you shine natural/white through a prism it makes a rainbow, the prism is separating the different wavelengths from eachother. Black is the absence of light.

The term white light in physics is a euphemisim for "visible light". In terms of chromatics you can't mix all prime colors and get white. You get black. The combination of all color.
