Wolverine being considered Beta level is super disappointing. The man has the second best healing factor behind Hulk. His healing factor alone allows him to go toe to toe with and kill Omega level mutants. Logan also has secondary mutations that also beg for him to be ranked high. His mental processing is on par with the super computers, enhanced strength and speed, massively boosted sense, etc etc etc.

Actually sounds about right to me because people forget due to his Adamantium he'd be DEAD without his Healing Factor & why he's TRULY at his bezt WITHOUT Adamantium! Also many just can't see him operating in ANY normal capacity because his Adamantium weighs 600 pounds so how the f__k can he even move around Healing Factor or not? In the mid to late 90s they made it a point to show that Sabretooth with Adamantium ENHANCES his Healing Factor CLEARLY making him #2 behind HULK as Da Runt had countless draws or barely winning against him to then being absolutely decimated if he doesn't run away or have help! Speaking of which there's a lot more Mutants & other Characters with Healing Factors just that most well known's HULK, Da Runt, Creed, Bishop, THOR, Hercules, Gladiator, Blue Marvel, Sentry & Beast I think!

Beta level isn't really stating a power level. Power wise they are often equal to alpha mutants

See i always thought people like spiderman, hulk, and deadpool were ordinary humans who were mutated. Hence, the name "mutates" rather than "mutant" since they werent born with their abilities. Even the fantastic 4 would fall under this category.

Cyclops powers are underrated because his beams come from a different dimension and not planet level like the omega level mutants.

He's not Omega-level for one reason: while his primary ability (channeling kinetic energy from the Crimson Cosmos of Cyttorak) does not have an upper limit, his secondary ability (generating a psionic field that protects his body from that kinetic energy so he doesn't blow his head clean off) does have an upper limit. He's uncorked some Omega-level power stunts (reigniting the Rings of Polemachus, which are what that extradimensional world derived heat and light from, as it had no Sun) and shattering the right hand of the Celestial called Arishem the Judge, for example), but he required an external power source to boost his self-protecting field to allow him to do it (in the first instance, Storm feeding him electrical energy, in the second, Jean Grey temporarily granting him a fragment of the Phoenix Force). If he was fully Omega-level, he could basically destroy anything he could fix his gaze on, at will.

@@gabnel1000 Well to be fair, a lot of people now a days interpret "reality warping" as matter manipulation/creation. Reality is the perception of existence. It's the "knowing of things" portion of existence. It's not the physical matter. Simply controlling matter is not manipulating reality. The Joker taking Mr. Mxyzptlk's power and changing reality so that "2 + 2 = fish" is manipulating reality. That equation became the new reality and isn't questioned because that's reality. It was just a common thing. It was the perception of existence changing. "1+1=2, 2+2=fish, 3+3=6." It was just a known fact. That's reality warping. Moving matter around isn't manipulating the perception of existence. It's just.. moving matter around. The two are not synonymous, and I wish people would stop saying they are. Google defines "reality" as; "the state or quality of having existence or substance." "the world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them." Ie. The perception of existence. It has nothing to do with physical matter. Reality warping means "changing the common place". Changing the notion of something that's known into something else and making that the common existence of that notion. Simply creating, altering or manipulating matter is not manipulating or altering reality. It's just matter manipulation.

I have always thought the Angel and demon mutants were mutants at all but from the spiritual realm. The Lipin category is a very interesting concept. Mutants not werewolves. Omega mutants: Demigods, very difficult to kill and capable of massive destruction. Alpha mutants: bearer of dangerous weapons, but still easier to kill. Beta mutants: less dangerous and easier to kill or neutralize, still capable. Epsilon mutants: freaks but largely harmless, not much from an ordinary human.

Two questions about this: 1. What category do characters like Destiny and Blindfold fall into? Their powers are in no way combat oriented, but they're extremely powerful. 2. Pretty sure Jean is the most powerful telepath on Earth these days. Neither Hulk or Dead Pool are mutants though. They're mutates. Their powers aren't natural and were artificially activated within them. Therefore Wolverine beats them out on a scale of mutants, since the other two simply aren't mutants.

It's my understanding (I could be wrong) that any pair of humans have the potential to produce offspring with the x-gene, hence all mutants are human. I'm only referring to earthborn homo-sapiens in this case. I think it was an X-Factor comic from the 90s that included a story line that involved a prenatal test to indicate if the baby would be born with the x-gene. It only had about a 60% accuracy rate though.

You just named Beast in two different categories. Also, any human who developed powers from artificial sources, excluding inhumans, are called mutates. Cap, Spidey, Hulk, Electro and Daredevil are examples of this. To include any mutates in a list of mutants is invalid; the X gene is what is required to be a mutant and mutates dont have it. And lupines was revealed to be bullshit and not true in the slightest. Including it on this list is silly.
