Tyler you say the team will have to handle that pressure. Pressure is a privilege, It means you're the best, The team wants to win, the fans want the team to win. There is no pressure to lose on any team in college softball in the entire country. The implications of pressure mean that you're in a very, very good spot. It is much better to be the hunter then the one being hunted.

I don't mean it as a negative, it's certainly a positive to have so many people that care about your program. And ultimately I think they'll be able to handle the pressure that's thrown at them this year. But Patty has talked multiple times about the pressure that does exist and it's been hard to deal with at times, according to her and players. The chase of the all-time winning streak was certainly one aspect to that. While she's about the process, some from the outside expect this team to be perfect all of the time. There was a lot of complaining when they lost one game to BYU, much less series losses to OSU and Texas. Maybe that happens this year, maybe not, but there will be sky-high expectations once again. Everyone wants to try and knock off the champs. Good luck to all of the challengers! They're going to need it.

The 2018 team had the most freshmen for the past decade with nine freshman. Although they didn't win the natty they still had a remarkable season, winning the Big 12 Conference championship and advancing to the WCWS. The team's success was largely attributed to the contributions of its talented freshman class. I strongly believe that this years team could possibly be one of the best. Boomer Sooner!

They only had 4 freshmen in 2018. They had 8 in 2016 (NatChamps) and 2020. Nine this year. Should be fun!!

Sanders didn’t have a great batting average, but her on-base percentage was good, and she brings lots of power. I don’t think there is any college softball lineup that is deep enough to be better off with her on the bench.
