From these 3 announcements, my favorite one is the SVC: Chaos announcement. I played it a long time ago. Although it's not my favorite in their versus series, I'm looking forward to playing it again. They got some deep cuts in the character roster, that at the time of its release, were rare to see in fighting games.

I think they definitely want to save cooler characters like Sheen Woo, Kasumi and Adelheid for KoF 16. And just grabbed Mature and Vice from the last game, as damage control for the backlash they got for abandoning KoFXV so unceremoniously. I don’t think they’re doing anything anymore after this. Garou is gonna be in February or March. SNK doesn’t have enough staff yet to support 2 major games at once. But yeah. Underwhelming. Yet, it makes sense why they wouldn’t grab a popular character like Shen or Kasumi, and they rather just give them a proper re-introduction on a future KoF. Also: don’t read the replies to my comment. Lots of hopium down there.

If they are really working on the launch of Fatal Fury, the relaunch of Art Of Fighting, the (bad idea imho) RPG of Samurai Shodown, and the DLC of KOF15, I don't think they have staffing problems. In fact, I believe that if Vice and Mature were to manage to keep KOF alive, they could continue to release content in the coming years. Because with all the games they have on the line, I'm afraid we won't be seeing a new KOF any time soon.

They said they will keep up the game with content after these two but it's not gonna be per seasons, they will just drop characters when they feel like it Makes sense keeping the game alive even when can be considerate launching bones to fans, with Art of Fighting be the next in line, we will have to wait a while to KOF XVI

@@LuminescentShineexactly! Isn’t that why they partnered with Arika from Ex Layer to develop a non-fighting game franchise? SNK is definitely gonna outsource at least one game. Plus, during their panel, the English speaking dev called out to people to send job applications, because they need staff. They’re definitely not in a position rn to develop both KOF XV and FF at the same time. Perhaps later if their team grows for FF and AOF, but now right now for KoF.

@@LuminescentShine I don't know if anything has changed in the meantime, but from what I know the Samurai Shodown action-rpg should have been developed by an internal team at SNK. And since they are paid employees, the argument is the same: SNK doesn't have staffing problems. If they chose to support a little less kof they did so on purpose, not because they were short of employees.

It sounds like a Garou title. I wish they would have all of them. However; KOF XV has all of this minus the story. I never played Garou or Street Fighter III, so i can't say they are the greatest like the gamers say.

Tidbit, Athena and Firebrand can be played on the console version, I think you have to beat 50 fighters on survival mode. I remembered SvC on OG XBox is $50 MSRP, while CvS2 was ony $40, would anyone really be it for $50, let alone on an XBox since it never came on PS2 in the U.S. Finally on a PlayStation console in the U.S. Screw Eikichi Kawasaki and Ben Herman for screwing their SNK PlayStation fans in 2005 starting with this game. Thank you new modern SNK.

That gonna keep updating KOF XV after Vice and Mature but no with a season format they just will reveal characters when they feel like it i suposse that's good since they dont have enough man power yet to prepare the Fatal Fury launch and in the same time keep up with a season schedule for KOF XV, probably we will get 2 or 3 characters per year at best Makes sense to keep given something to KOF fans since we know AoF and Samsho RPG will be next that means It will take a long time to KOF XVI

Snk vs Capcom 2 incoming 2026

What worries me is that the launch is about six months away, and at the last Evo available they only revealed Kevin. The game currently only has 9 characters. And even counting the other teased (Billy, Kain, Andy, Joe, Hokutomaru, Gato and Mai Shiranui), it barely reaches 16. A little disappointing in my opinion.

Well, the original Mark of the Wolves had 12 characters, 14 if you include Grant and Kain, if all MotW characters return to CotW, sans Grant, plus the new characters and those returning from previous Fatal Fury games we will probably get 19 or 20 characters. Street Fighter 6 had 18 playable characters at launch, Guilty Gear: Strive had 15, Tekken 8 had over 30, Mortal Kombat 1 had 22, KoF XV had 39. All in all, I don't think having 20 characters, more or less is a bad thing, I know people want a varies playable roster, but I've also seen that people like having a smaller initial roster size at first, in order not to learn so many characters. We'll probably get plenty of DLC for CotW

@@pablocasas5906 In my opinion there is a big difference between 16 and 20. 4 more characters is not a small number. Especially in a series like Fatal Fury which, contrary to what one might think, has no more than 30/35 characters. Even less if you discard duplicates. MotW had few characters because it represented a new beginning for the series, like Fatal Fury 3 but more radical. All new characters (except Terry), new graphics, new gameplay... it was "SNK's SF3". If they hadn't gone bankrupt within a couple of years they would certainly have doubled the cast. In the game before MotW, Real Bout 2, there were practically every character that ever appeared in Fatal Fury. Just a couple were missing.

@@Vindrows well, the canceled Garou 2 for the Neo Geo would've added 6 more characters, which means the game's roster would have been 20 playable characters, considering Freeman and Grant were also going to appear, though perhaps there were more characters that were never revealed to the public. In regards to other Fatal Fury games' roster sizes: - The first Fatal Fury only had 3 playable characters, though in the home ports the CPU-controlled characters were made playable, so it had a total of 11 characters; - Fatal Fury 2 had 8 playable characters, but in Special made the 4 sub-bosses playable and you could play as Ryo, for a total of 15 characters; - Fatal Fury 3 had 11 playable characters; - Real Bout had 16 characters; - Real Bout Special had 19, plus four EX versions; - Real Bout had 22, plus an unplayable extra boss, Alfred.

Xiaohai winning was actually surprising since he’s been focusing on SF6. Im kind underwhelmed with Vice and Mature coming out in December and feeling like that’s it for the game. Very happy with SvC Chaos and dropped immediately, makes excited to see what Capcom has cooked up now. And even though I don’t main Kevin I was expecting him back cause he’s an awesome character.

I'm not happy Xbox isn't getting snk v Capcom revised but Nintendo switch and the ponies are getting it even the Steamers are going to get it I hate u snk were the only platform that has fark all snk outside of samsho and kof 15 the rest is archived classics why are PPL side lining Xbox I hate snk right now I'm not happy us here in Aoetearoa have fark all snk titles on our digital store where's the rest of the world gets the awesome ACA collection we don't get it but every other country around us does get it how the fark does that happen
