Yes that feature was added after I created this video but yes you can get isolated audio as well

Great video! I'm noticing, however, that when I broadcast directly into Zoom and then I play a movie, there is frequently 3-4 seconds when the audio on that movie does not play. Then, it's like it catches up and the audio starts to play. This does not seem to happen on live streams -- only on Zoom. I figured it was something with Zoom's settings, but I am set to eCamm's virtual mic, and I've messed with every single setting I can find on both eCamm and Zoom, and none of them fix this problem. Any ideas?

Thanks for your comment this video doesn’t cover the Virtual Microphone which is a major feature of Ecamm now. Are you using that to play audio into Zoom? Or are you using Loopback or neither? What audio source do you have selected in Zoom AND are you using original Sound?

Kirk, thanks for your information. I've set my mic delay at 6 and that solved my synching issue while talking, but the problem I'm having a hard time solving is when I go to sing to a beat that's being played from system audio, my lips are way off beat. Mic delay 6 works only for talking. I wish the music could be delayed as well so everything would synch nicely. If you have any ideas about the music issue, please let me know. I don't know if audio hijack/loopback would solve that?

Hadassah thanks for this question it caused me to do some testing and you are absolutely correct when I sing to any music I play on my computer (system audio or loaded into sound effects) i'm off beat even though it looks and sounds ok to me. Took some time but I realized you have to send it the music through a delay as well. I connected my phone to the same audio interface my mic is connected to and played my accompaniment track off of it and it worked perfectly. The thing to remember is to send your music through the same source as your mic and it'll be synced up. Hope this helps, I'll probably make a video soon.

Hi Kirk, I'm struggling to find any info about how to mute microphones during only one scene. Basically my intro has music playing and I want to mute my mic. When it switches to the next scene, I want to be able to start talking. Any advice?

Thanks for the comment and support of the channel. Settings are done from one scene to the next meaning If you mute your mic in one scene it will be muted every time you go back to that scene. So for me I’m the scene where I have my countdown my mic is muted ik Ecamm sound settings but in the next scene it’s not and I can speak when Ecamm automatically goes to the next scene after the countdown is finished. I hope im making sense, can you explain further what you’re experiencing if it’s not what I’ve shared?

Kirk: since StreamYard doesn't have an "off-air audio mode" feature, - similar to the feature built into ECAMM - - do you and you SY guest, take advantage of this ECAMM feature; while you are waiting for a SY broadcast to begin? - - do you offer this ECAMM "off-air audio feature" to your SY backstage guest, while you & others are on-stage chatting with folks?

Thanks for your comment. The off air audio feature is not available to StreamYard. While it is possible to use the virtual camera and Loopback to stream through StreamYard with ECamm Its not a smooth process (no comments, complicated audio routing, etc) far better to use Restream the integration is tighter and you can leverage all the features of both platforms. Personally I don't use this feature with StreamYard at all.

Hi Kirk, for some reason i keep hearing a echo. Are we not suppose to use our airpods. I also use yeti microphone an use the mic delay. I dnt know what im doing wrong 😩

Echo is caused because audio is looped somewhere. Typically sound is going from a speaker into a mic. If you have Headphones (preferably wired NOT wireless) then ensure through settings audio is only going to the headphones. Check Apple preferences and Ecamm preferences to confirm what your input and output is set to. Ecamm does have a echo cancellation option that you can enable. I would recommend trying that as well. IMO AirPods or any wireless headphones should NOT be used in live production.

@@kirkrnugent Thanks! An ok i have to get new headphones, i hooked up my input an output to my yeti mic an i did the mic delay at 8 frames so that part is good. Its just when i screen share i cant hear unless i have on headphones. I want the audience to be able to hear what im screensharing… everything else is good its just that one part😩

@@donebeingsilent what do you want the audience to hear? When you screen share there is a setting broadcast system sounds which can cause issues if you aren’t using headphones. Have you checked that option?

Hey Kirk… do you know how to stop Latency on Ecamm Live App Audio in GarageBand ? Basically I’m trying to live stream my music mixing and editing process… but In my GarageBand settings when I put the output to Ecamm Live App Audio… in order for people in the live to here… it gives Latency.
