Cylinder deactivation, automatic engine shut off, touch screen everything, hybrids without a full-size spare & less cargo space due to needing an extra battery, more complicated turbo systems that give negligible mpg gains, lane departure, some 4x4's don't come with a two speed transfer case unless you buy a more expensive package (chevy). So many things not to like!

22 Gladiator with a 3.6 love it. No issues over 2.5 years. Plenty of knobs for the controls, very capable truck. My only complaint s are stop/start, and the weak headlights it came with. Aftermarket LED headlights and driving light bulbs took care of the lighting issues, hope to disconnect the S/S when warranty is up. I don’t want TV sized touchscreens or 4 cyl turbo motors. Thanks for the video!

I have a 2021 Gladiator (Rubi) but have had some "known issues" with it in just over 3 years. Minor issues, true, but they're still annoying. I got mine off a Jeep dealer's lot new (April 2021) and it came with some options -- such as the LED lighting package (nice), and you're right, the halogen lights are pretty dim. As for Start/Stop, I just hit the button to turn it off (no big deal to me). And like you I didn't want any turbo engine (or even diesel) -- the N-A V6 gas is just fine. So despite the 2-3 issues (2 under warranty, one not) I still like my truck also, and if I needed to buy a new vehicle tomorrow, I'd get another Gladiator (Rubi)...that is, IF I could get past the still-insane pricing nowadays! -- BR

I get it, you're a truck guy, but anyone that follows the quality of Ford, GM and RAM knows that the RAM trucks have NOT been built with tons of quality baked in. I know more RAM owners who won't buy another RAM because of problems they have had with their trucks. I'm not saying that Ford or GM is stellar but they are better than RAM for sure. Yes, people will buy a truck on looks/style alone but if you are a serious truck buyer, you want quality. For an example, my brother in law is a home builder for one of the biggest in the country. They will buy him any truck he wants for his job. He used to buy RAM. No more. He had more problems that he has now switched over to Ford. Reality Stellantis is sinking RAM with it's high prices and sticker shock. Not to mention problems with build quality as i mentioned before. Maybe you love them, but a vast majority of truck buyers don't want to even go near a RAM product.

Cylinder deactivation, and tiny little engines, with power to displacement ratios, that would have embarrassed race car engines from a decade ago. Putting highly complex, over stressed race car type engines, in our heaviest vehicles...is one reason whey all these beasts, are so unreliable. To be fair the Ford 5.0 has both port, and direct injection. Ford's current factory support, for after market superchargers, is great...so good on em.... for that....that could get e out of my GM 6.2 We went from having a reliable fleet of transportation, to this crap. I hate having to build performance transmissions, and redoing valve trains, just to have a decent vehicle. Ultimately the vehicle that pollutes the most , is the one that's un-repairable....next...is the one that's unreliable. I'd only buy a new car, only if I could disconnect the telemetry antenna, and pull the sim card. On GM vehicles, that means pulling out the dashboard! Ultimately the world's billionaires, have figured how to force everyone else, to continuously buy their latest tech....made in their factories, and forced down our throats, by evil government regulations. Talk about a closed loop of endless garbage, this is it. A great example of this is Freon. The newest Freon, only becomes an "environmental" problem, when their patent for it expires. Don't worry though, because they've already got the patent for the next safe Freon....which only becomes a problem, when their patent protection expires.

Wait, you’re saying 66K is not bad??? You’re kidding. You’ve become “nose blind”. Evidently you’ve been around these overpriced vehicles so much you’re USE TO IT. As a Navy Corpsman, being around dead bodies, my nose got “use” to the stink after about 10 minutes you no longer need to stuff oil of wintergreen up your nose. Only a few years ago these same trucks would be HALF what they’re asking.

And yet we have thousands and thousands of people who are flying millions and millions of files on private jets. There has been no concern from the EPA on the amount of pollution these modern plans contributes to the ozone. So let’s punish the little guy so they can’t afford a new vehicle anymore!

Everyone needs to stop buying these crappy trucks, just stop, hurt the corporations the only way known to hurt any corporation, sales and the bottom line. If you wine and bitch but then relent and hand over $80k for a $40k truck, that's not going to help matters.

Done with new trucks- just done ! I have a 2018 Titan, on my thrid engine, yes thrid , piston slap on number 7 cylinder. Second rear end, thrid battery, and all new wiring harnesses. In 2018 this thing was a little over 70000 plus 15 % tax here in NL Canada. An oil change here in NL , at the dealer is almost 150.00. I am currently looking for an older vehicle to hopefully avoid the the crappy issues. New trucks are not even close to being worth the money. Just over priced junk
