My 2022 RAM 2500 4x4 Hemi with the 3100 pound payload and factory air suspension is my daily driver. No off-road anticipated.

Your title caught my attention, and I was wondering if you were going to talk about actual issues with a Power Wagon. After watching your video, I found out you did not do your research before purchasing the Power Wagon and you really do not know why it has a lower payload.

Clearly their off-road suspension. Nice to see they updated for 2024 model though

I believe the 2500 Rebel could be a choice for those wanting a Power Wagon, but need the towing/payload capabilities more than the extreme offroad. If it was available when I got my 1500 Rebel, I would have chosen that instead.

Seems it would be cheaper to upgrade the rear suspension to leaf springs if you want more payload and towing, rather than starting over paying for a new truck.
@WallStreetRedneck3 күн бұрын
@@michaelspears6201 I looked into it. Was hoping there was a mopar options that the dealership would do but there wasn’t. I ended up getting a dually for peace of mind and so I could fully utilize my equipment trailer with two 10k axels. They were running some pretty big incentives on trucks when I traded mine in as well.

You're confusing the Power Wagon with the HD Rebel. A PW is basically a Wrangler in an HD Truck form. You can't have an extremely soft suspension designed to flex offroad and keep high payload. You simply bought the wrong truck and failed to verify the #1 most important item when purchasing, payload.
@WallStreetRedneck11 күн бұрын
No doubt about that. Assumed 2500 would put it in the proper ranger with the others. Apparently I wasn’t alone. New PWs now have 17k tow capacity
@redtitan2911 күн бұрын
@@WallStreetRedneck The Power Wagon has the same towing capacity as the one you owned. The new HD Rebel is close to 17K but it looses features of the Power Wagon which is why I stated you're confusing the two models.

@@WallStreetRedneck If you google 2024 Lunar Edition Power Wagon towing compacity it will tell you 10,610. If you google just 2024 Power Wagon towing compacity it says 17,740 which is wrong because that is the max that engine is rated to pull in the right configuration. Which is a regular cab 1 ton 4x2 with a 4.10 rear end. If you beef up the suspension on the Power Wagon it will help the towing

The cost of making a safe failsafe is why the back seats don't fold forward. Peopie would not be securing them properly without sdding a gear system. In an accident the company would have a hard time proving it was secured. Very nice new 3500, I assume they made it very comfortable price wise.

I get a little tired of people who buy Power Wagons knowing full well what their limits are then bag on them for their lower payload and towing capacity. Kind of like complaining you can't shred a mountain highway in your Harley bagger. I have both, by-the-way and I bought the Harley for its comfortable riding position and long trip ease and the Power Wagon for its off-road capability. I knew exactly what I was getting with both and got what i wanted. I tow a 7,500 lb. travel trailer with my PW which is all I need and the gentleman who bought it new(I'm the 2nd owner) put Carli King suspension and airbags on it raising its payload to 2,000 lb. I couldn't be happier with it.
@WallStreetRedneck11 күн бұрын
@@derekheuring2984 I didn’t say I wasn’t happy with it. It’s just odd to have it in their 3/4 ton class. RAM clearly sees the error in this as the newest models have increased capacity now

Very easy to convert the rear seat back to fold forward, just add some washers under the mounting brackets. Power wagon is for a different purpose than what you were using it for. 4,000 miles per year is more of a toy. Sorry but you know very little about the PW and it shows.

10k tow capacity sucks regardless of its intended offroad purpose on truck in the 2500 class. They clearly updated the 2024 model to 17k so I can’t be alone in this critique.
