It’s understandable if you don’t feel sympathetic towards Izana but even as a manga reader seeing his flashbacks animated hit me in the feels.. and I love how the anime adds in little scenes that weren’t in the manga such as kakucho being involved with those flashbacks with Shinichiro.. but just heartbreaking all around and Mikey is better than most people out there for being able to push everything to the side and still try to save his big brother Izana.

@@Dragon-lm2qc That's very true. But I feel like people sympathize with Izana in retrospect because Izana is CLEARLY a troubled kid. It doesn't excuse his crimes or what he did, but if he didn't grow up in such a messed up environment, it's highly unlikely he'd turn out this way. As you even saw in this episode, he refuses to see the reality in front of him because of his trauma and him feeling like he's justified because "people don't understand". Not saying you have to turn around and like him btw. Still hating him after everything is quite justified too. I'm just playing devil's advocate

I read someone say that the reason shin didn't introduce izana to the family was not because Mikey or Emma but because of izana himself. Shin noticed the jealousy from izana towards Mikey and I think he felt the need to keep them apart till he's able to get izana to accept Mikey and not cause him harm.

That's what I was thinking especially when a few eps back when they found izana"s letters to shinichiro and it was steeped in jealousy/hatred for mikey - so shin would've been aware of how potentially dangerous izana may behave around mikey (who is years younger & smaller than izana is)

I think Mikey's words are partially the goodness in his heart (that he probably learnt from Shinichiro) but I also think he's just desperate for family at this point. He told Takemichi to scold him if he goes off the rails like... boy wants a surrogate big brother so bad. And now he knows he has a real big brother too. So many people close to him have died that he can't bear to push away another one even if they're toxic af :(

Izana is a really painful character, he's one of the best if not the best character in this manga/anime. Not a lot of people understands him really. Makes me cry every time i see him 😢.

Kisaki is such a sick individual. Dude is only good at two things: planning and backstabbing. He cannot handle a head to head confrontation. Every time he's caused someone to die, he never faced that person. Never looked them in the eye while he did it. With Hina, he had Akkun do it for him. Kazutora was his inbetween with Baji. Kiyomasa with Draken. Hakkai and Yuzuha with Taiju. Chifuyu was looking at Takemichi when he shot him, and was tied up. He didn't even stop that bike with Emma. And now Kakucho...he's got to be the biggest coward I've ever seen in any series, I swear. No wonder he couldn't shoot Takemichi. He was too busy having a panic attack because he had nothing and nobody to hide behind, until Izana took over the fight for him. Have never wanted to wring a character's neck so badly. Love your reactions! Here's hoping karma gets that man sooner rather than later.

I relate to Izana I’m 23 now😅 when it comes to my mom I’m an only child and if she tried to be around another kid I’m going off. Same with my older cousins one of them were going to have a baby when I was 16 and I was pissed cuz his attention wasn’t going to be on me anymore and he wouldn’t be able to hangout with me without bringing his baby along. Idky I have attachment issues but I just do I'm not gonna murder someone over it though.

19:25 well as a doctor I can help with that one : it depends on whether the bullet touches the bigger arteries or not, but at most they usually can't make it past a day if that is the case due to internal bleeding and its repercussions on the heart and lungs, along with the added anemia and hypoxia ... Therefore kaku-chan needs to be hospitalized asap in order to monitor all his vital parameters and to be operated (removal of the bullet+ sewing the damaged artery + transfusion and oxygen depending on his needs )

Well the funny thing is that without Izana Toman wouldnt have even exhisted at least no how it does now. Toman was made because kazutora was getting into a beef with Shion madarames BD while Izana was sorta in the background manipulating things. This was released in a Chapter about Kazutora and Toman. Honestly tho id be scared to put child mikey and child izana together, they are wayy more alike than they even realize, the good and the bad parts, Mikey is just as if not more broken than izana but he had people around him to help him, where as izana had shin for a few years and kakucho. they for sure could benefit from some group therapy, I would say throw in kazutora too but izana would actually commit murder if that happen.

What is kisaki even doing? He couldn't shoot takemitchy and that's his problem in all this, wanting him out of the way for his plan, but he can shot Kacucho? Makes zero sense? Is he trying to make Izana go mad by loosing Kacuco so he would feel he's truly alone, then he wouldn't want to accept Mikey's offer to be his big brother? Anyhow Kisaki needs to get jumped, Izana, Mikey, draken all have beef with him now, he needs to be addressed in battle. Kisaki keeps getting away with not fighting anyone.

Kisaki is obsessed with Hina and Takemichi, and I think more than anything Kisaki wants recognition or to surpass Takemichi. If he just kills Michi then he doesn't win. I think he killed Kakucho because his plan is going to hell again and he is losing his cool. It was not a planned thing.

I dunno you may be right. Kisaki is very weird to me. We've only seen him lose his cool 3 times (when Mikey kicked him out of Toman, last episode where he couldn't shoot takemitchy, and here again).
