The round Brass piece that Gary found is part of a broken mouth harp. Circa mid to late 1700s! I find these on fur trade sites from that era.

the "nose ring" at 3:50 was a wide style jaw harp. You can see where the iron tongue/reed was attached.

I have watched you guys since you had less than 300 subscribers. You guys have produced so many amazing finds. I remember when every other comment accused y’all of planting your finds. I even started whipping my own “foo”. The “44” is something I say to this day. The water hunts are something I’ve never heard of until you guys. I have lived in Florida most my life and have run offshore charters until I was paralyzed in 2020. I worked for 6 months on an actual treasure hunt in the keys- found an anchor from the 1600’s but nothing else. I’ve met Mel Fischer 20 times over the years. You and the band of merry metal detectors have filled many horrible hours with smiles and “No waaaay!!” I’m actually gaining my ability to walk again- unbelievable but horrifying nerve pain but if I get to walk again- it’s worth it. I saw Brad cut his gold coin into pieces on that beach, the eight Maravidis from the water. The LB coin - you have cooperatively ruined metal detecting for me. I will never be impressed again dammit. I think you should get some footage of “dad Brad” awake at 3am with a baby in one arm and another one on the changing table. Just for historical (hysterical) reasons. You have all changed so much but still the hunt goes on. Be safe at work and thank everyone for what they do. I looked at your face in the intro and man, who would’ve thought that your weekend could become this. Thanks for the memories guys, thanks for putting the time in so we can see this stuff come out of the ground.
