Estate sales like this require real digging! We try our absolute best to be gentle, and we’ve found that it looks/sounds much harsher on camera than in real life. We always approach an estate sale with respect to the current or previous owners ♥️

Love that Easter honeycomb too! 😀 And those who comment that you leave a mess aren’t watching very closely. You can see things are already EVERYWHERE when you get there. And of course we don’t see every moment you are there. Be kind, people. If you have nothing nice to say 🤫. Plus, the estate sales people generally pull stuff out so it’s all over the place. I like watching you do these videos, if people have a problem with how estate sales are run, skip to the thrift store videos. Digging to save items from the landfill is what you’re doing and I’m guessing with certainty that the families know and understand the process! Don’t let the negative comments bother you, antiquing and finding treasures to save is the goal after all! You didn’t break one thing, it’s ALL GOOD!

Sometimes at these sales you just have to dig in stuff, that’s the way this one was set up and was probably a total clean out after the sale. I love the ornaments you found and the great can opener, in sales like this always take off your rings and bracelets so you don’t loose them.

What would happen to all those things without an estate sale? The family doesn’t want it- it’d all get thrown out or donated. And sadly, it takes a lot of time to donate all those things and the family may not see any point in that. Yeah it isn’t ideal, but at least the items sold can be valued and loved again where they’d otherwise be in a land fill. Anywho love the comics. So cool!!

Ive been watching your videos for a couple months now. And was really curious about this. In comparison to Vintage Halloween decor and a huge market for those things. Is there a big market for the vintage Christmas decorations and ornaments. I notice you say that some of the ornaments can go for $8-10 on average. But I didnt know if there was many seekers and collectors of Christmas like there is for Halloween. And if that stuff is well sought after like Halloween for example. I collect Vintage Halloween myself. Which is why I subscribed to your channel. ♥️

I have never been to estate sales like this. The estate sales in my area are well organized.
@sophie_penny3 жыл бұрын
This is what would put me off because I would like to know a ball park figure of the prices. If it is cheap, I'd get more but if expensive I'd not bother. And you only find out at the end and then it would be embarrassing. I'm in UK and we just don't have these sorts of sales. I can understand why there's so many bad comments on this video because in other countries we just don't do this and it is rather sad and mind boggling. But it's not the girls fault. If they didn't buy it, it could just end up being thrown away and lost forever.

People need to be more respectful when digging in others stuff. What a mess people are leaving. Makes me sad to think that was someone’s life and people just go in and make a mess of it.

Love your videos but will not watch any more estate sale ones. It really bothers me to see people going thru a deceased person’s house like scavengers, ripping things out of boxes, scattering things everywhere and making a huge mess in the quest to find something that can be resold for a profit.

First of all don’t get me wrong but I have ordered one of your T-shirts and I watch your videos but what I’m finding that takes my breath away or is very aggravating is how you guys are going into a state sales and into boxes and rifling through them like you’re holding back 20 people behind you and you’re desperate lol and you guys are really hard on pushing things aside and not very gentle with all of these other things and only what you’re looking for and I know you only have one hand but please please try to respect the other items a little bit more I think. Or always take a box in with you and just start putting stuff to the side so you can get down to the bottom instead of taking your hand and just pushing everything or rifling through it like a banshee lol. I’m not really bitching it’s just when I watch the videos it just Can be aggravating sometimes and starting to make it look like you guys are desperate for finding that one item before someone else grabs it I think is what I want to say. Carry-on and please don’t get me wrong when I say all this it’s just what bothers me
@ShinyBriteDoggo3 жыл бұрын
Hi Dawn, we’re sorry that you feel as though we’re being rough and not respectful. We do have to say that the way it appears and sounds on camera is a lot harsher than in real life. That being said, we understand how you(and others) may feel. We do put things aside in boxes and bags, and we’ve never broken anything at a sale. As we’ve said before, estate sales can be tricky, some find it fun, some find it sad, some just don’t care. We try our best to share our 100% authentic journey of thrifting, estate sale, etc. Even if that means we’re digging fast into a dirty box in a basement filled with tissue paper looking for whatever ornaments were left behind from the groups who were let in before us. We very much appreciate your feedback and support. Thank you. -Jeannine
