I know you go to yard sales...estate sales...and find all kinds of awesome stuff in people's trash . It just amazes me how many great finds your able to find...cause I'm close to Columbus, Ohio and your neighborhood has a lot better finds then mine...lol Love watching you two...I think I get just as excited as you do... I can't get over the good usable things being thrown away and not donated!! Craig's list in my area has a place to post free stuff. Alot of people set the left overs from a garage sale out for pick up. Some places that had Estate sales and have furniture left advertise it for free on Monday. I have seen some beautiful pieces that were in perfect shape being given away.

Ok what is starting to shock me is these people actually throw the stuff away in the trash? Perfectly good items? in San Diego people donate everything to either Goodwill, Salvation Army ,AMVETS something like that but I find it interesting that these are things people just throwing in the trash. Love your videos !! I do have a question though...are these people really throwing this stuff out for the trash trucks?? Why don't people in your area donate this stuff? Our city wouldn't allow this stuff to be be put at the curb like that. Our garbage has to be bagged and in cans. Is this like a special day where people put stuff out for others to take? I wish they would do that here!!!!! You guys get great stuff!!

Hi thanks for watching! This town in particular does zoned ‘bulk days’ where residents can put out any large items (or just as much trash as they want). It’s crazy what people will just toss, we agree! Unfortunately there are very little thrifts in the area, so a lot of people end up putting it all to the curb. We try to save as much as we can!

In this town the trash day for is for "bulk" items (basically as much trash as you want to discard as well as large items), this is done all through the spring and summer. People start bringing their items to the curb on the weekend for Monday pickup. It's kind of known that people will look through your stuff, and people mostly don't mind as long as you leave everything as neat as you found it.
