Thank you for showing not only how to wax an amaryllis bulb, but how to remove the wax, etc., to regrow it, after it’s finished blooming. I received a waxed amaryllis for Christmas this year, and it was so interesting to watch it grow and bloom a total of 8 big blossoms. Now, I am going to follow your directions to plant it in a pot, until after the first frost….then follow the rest of your directions. TFS!

Can you do anything with the basal plate after you cut it off to grow a new plant?

Why we have to paint the bulb instead of dipping directly since the first time

More *FALSE* Advice . When you cut off the basal plate, you've killed 😵the bulb.
