I get so caught up in the talking! Hahahaha. I know, huge party foul. FWIW - I had already knocked back a stein of Oktoberfest before we started rolling video, so maybe I was subconciously tuning it down a bit while on camera? Your point is well taken though. :)

Great channel! I would say the Altbier is a topfermented ale-version of a Munich Dunkel bottomfermented lager. Just like Kolsch is the topfermented ale-version of a bottomfermented Munich Helles. But this is probably not easy to understand for the regular beer customer, who dont have brewing experience. Greetings from Norway. Skål

Thanks for the thoughtul comment! Unrelated, we have two Norwegian farmhouse brewers from outside of Voss visiting us here in Minnesota (Ivar Geithung and Johnny Pedersen) for an epic traditional brew demo at NBHQ in mid-Sept. We're very excited to host them!
