Question, I'm setting up for this right now and am going to use 100% nitro. I'll have 2 IN posts on the keg, one for nitro and one for C02. My question is should I keep the nitro line on all the time or just when I'm serving? I will keep the CO2 on all the time at a low pressure.

Brewing in summer heat there is no way to let it freerise this month. I'm brewing a heff next weekend and have bananza. Ready. I have a chiller to get the fermenter to 68. But to get the most banana flavor should I pitch at 68 and then set chiller to like 74-75 or just pitch at like 74? And keep fermenter with chiller at 74??

Can you age the beer in the carboy longer, say 6 months, amd it produce a better tasting brew?
@OscarOSullivan24 күн бұрын
Ageing defeats the purpose of these ales and I say that as an Irishman who drinks them. They are pretty much mild ales and are meant to be drunk fresh as opposed to aged if you want to keep it soft around the edges.

Why would you ever wish to pour the entire starter's wort volume into your fermenter? That's usually pretty skanky stuff. DON'T DO THAT. As mentioned, take a day to chill the starter, decant, allow to warm and add some of your fermenter's wort, mix well and pitch. Very simple and much better.

I have a question? Wouldn't ths carbonate a still cider if you add sugar? What if i put sugar in after its done fermenting and i put it in my fridge, will i blow up the jug?

I am doing another 5 gallon batch under pressure with AS2 and it's nice. I started with Red Star Cuvee which I am sure is very similar to Cote de Blanc. I wonder how much under pressure fermenting helps.

Ahhhh be careful about adding water into your brew!!! It can water the whole thing down. Take a small sample of your finished cider, or use juice, then add in your sugar in there

its easy. Anyone can do it. I was in jail and made wine with fruits, juice they gave us, sugar and bread I put in a glove that I poked a bunch of holes in for the yeast. .. it worked. and was strong. its easy to make wine if you got the fruit.

I brewed this all grain beer kit two weeks ago using the Clawhammer Supply BIAB system. Fermented with LalBrew Voss Kveik Ale Dry Yeastin a stainless steel conical bucket in my garage. Temperatures were in the 60s at night and upper 80s during the day. I bottled it four days ago using a can of Northern Brewer Fast Prime priming sugar solution. Chilled last night and enjoyed today at lunch. Highly recommend.

Great video. Where do you get the flask weights? Heating a glass flask on a gas flame it’s recommended to use a wire gauze sheet with ceramic centre to distribute the heat.
