"Listnen!... I have to go home okay." Definitely sounds like a friend of me who is often drunk and worried his wife gets angry.

Ive been watchging tennis, since Im 4 yrs old...I come from a tennis-playing family. Im almost 55 yrs old. So, I have LITERALLY see every last one of these players, play. I can vividly remember watching Nastase play at the US Open, when it was played on grass...I can vividly remember watching Ilie Nastase lose to Borg in a Wimbledon final in '76, where I recall Borg spraying some sort of icy-hot (spray) on his abdomen, for a cramp in the 2nd set. I vividly remember remember ALL of the matches that Connors played against Lendl and Lendl play against McEnroe..because their matches were ALWAYS intense because of the hatred they had for each other. And I can also remember matches that Newcombe and Stan Smith played in the 70s right on thru the early 80s, where by that time, they played doubles more than singles. I dont even have to go into how often Ive seen the younger players play, because I would lose count. But I can nutshell those matches by saying that when I was younger I modeled my game after Wilander, because I was fast and had a very good backhand (still do). But when he retired. I was inspired by Federer's style of play because as an older guy, I didnt want to be limited by a two handed backhand that wasnt as effective as it used to be, simply because my foot speed wasnt what it used to be...so I went to a one handed backhand and flatter strokes in general. Which saved energy and has kept me playing longer with very few bumps and bruises.

Bjorn speaks better than that. He was probably drunk.

Oh my yes that was hilarious, he likely thought these windbags all LOVE to talk I can drink a few glasses of champers & just applaud now & then.. when people( not anglophones) drink they often use THAT "HOW YOU SAY??" I just adore this lovable Swede. I dont think he likes the fame thing (as much as perhaps ALL the ladies that he got in so much trouble with) that comes with professional sports but its nice to see him involved with the sport however imperfect his younger love life, he was SO AMAZING at not once giving away his emotions, no one has ever been like that at his level since. Maybe its NOT healthy, but one thing, no one made tennis MORE cool in the 70s than him. Its a totally different game today. I'd love to have this event in Montreal one year! I love ALL the players today. Novak has a better year ahead! Team Europe '22 was a legendary bunch, too bad they lost!! Roger Federer is a great figure to advance the sport to more people & more access for ALL kids to learn & compete.

Very strange behavior from Borg, but considering what he went through post retirement, two failed marriages, drug problems, suicide attempt, as a tennis fan, I will give him a pass. He probably was a bit inebriated as well as being somewhat nervous, a humble player, a great champion, and it's a shame we were spared several more years of great tennis from him. I hear he's doing well, happy living in Sweden with his wife of over twenty years.
