@richduperbash29663 ай бұрын
It took a while for the tires to soften up a bit. Probably 5-10 runs. They're still much stiffer than the Mojave 6s wheels, but faster no question. Love this platform 😍. Starting a new XL build with an M2C Talion chassis.

@@richduperbash2966 I’m not sure what I enjoy more, building something out of the box or sending it on test runs! I respect that. When I built my typhon XW I had no idea anyone had ever done it. But it didn’t start as a typhon, it was a build from lots of different rigs that I called “Misphit” that few have seen. It even had a custom made front tower from Kimberly. I destroyed it on the 1st bash and assumed it was the set up. It tuned out to be the PR trenchers (belted) but, it was always a SWB with Mojave arms. Hoping you can help. Box stock Kraton 6s exb v2. 16 tooth pinion, punch 9. Runs great with 2x3s batteries (zeee, another cheap brand, and spectrum). But when I went to single CNHL 6s 6000 70c packs it cogs like crazy. Unusable. I have soldered on a single ic5, didn’t fix it. Recalibrated esc. Checked all solder points. Any ideas? Should I go to a larger connector?
@richduperbash29662 ай бұрын
You shouldn't need a bigger connector. This is at least the second time I've heard this with a China hobbies lipo. I would try a single Zeee 6s pack. I run cheap lipos with no issues. I'm assuming you recalibrated your ESC (neutral, full throttle, full brake) 🤔. You shouldn't have any cogging with a 16T unless something is wrong with the ESC. Make sure the prongs on your iC5 aren't loose on either side.
@Pewpew242 ай бұрын
@@richduperbash2966 yeah I’ve recalibrated with no luck. Looks like I’ll be trying other batteries. Read lot of good about the CNHLs not sure why they’re giving me fits. @richduperbash29662 ай бұрын
I've never tried China hobbies, been using mostly Zeee and Ovonic the past while due to Hobbystar raising their prices to uncompetitive levels. The more power thing doesn't make any sense whatsoever. It's possible there's a bum batch of packs, I'm really not sure. If your motor leads and other connectors are all good, my guess is the pack itself may be the issue.

Any tips on jumping ?
@richduperbash296626 күн бұрын
Yes. Start small and learn basic air control before going too crazy. Hit the ramp at moderate speed and maintain it. Use throttle to bring the nose up and tap the brake to lower it or level off mid air. It's best to land on all 4 wheels. Sounds easy, but takes practice and lots of trigger time. Try not to land on hard throttle as it stresses the drivetrain. Expect wrecks and breakages as you grow your skills and gain confidence. The right wheels and gearing goes a long way helping your ability to have good air control.
