His voice is so beautiful. No matter how many times I've seen this, by the end of the song tears are rolled down my eyes, I cover my mouth, and I find it hard to breath. When he sings "I'm so sorry bro" and his hand slides down the microphone stand my heart breaks. When everyone goes "sing me to sleep" without Alex I get teary eyed knowing his fans support him all the way. It's almost like they're "singing him to sleep." telling him that they're there for him. We love you Alex

I lost my brother 9 months ago. This song hits me every time, but it is also a comfort to know that someone out there has put words to my feelings. We played this at his funeral and although Alex will never know it, but I'm very grateful to have something to confort me when memories of Kody come to mind.

All through the song, the only thing I could think of was how hard he was trying to smile and not cry. He was trying to be strong for his fans. He knows most of us have had a bad time in life and need something to pick us back up and make us stronger.This song is everything we need to understand the pain of losing someone as close as your brother, your father, your mom, sister, cousin, even a friend.Their music doesn't talk about death, it talks about getting over problems and moving on in life.

I tear up every time I hear this song! Alex's voice is so full of passion and it leaves me as an emotional wreck. It clearly means a lot to him, when he sings this song and it is evidently a struggle because he makes jokes right the way through. All i can say is that he has to be one of the most mentally strong people I have ever heard of in my entire life and I respect him for that. Also at the end of the song, he says, 'I'm sorry bro'. I don't think Alex is trying to hide anything with his jokes. He always seems like that. I think that's what he's like: he's an upbeat person. Alex's brother had an addiction to alcohol. It started when Alex was twelve and it spiralled out of control and he passed when he was twenty-one. It's a sad thing and it's hard for Alex to talk about. He didn't commit suicide, his brother's liver shut down.

This completely broke me down. At the end, I could tell that singing that last line broke him so much he doubled over to hide from the audience.
