This is the first record of theirs I've fallen head over heels in love with since don't panic. The bois are back and i missed them. I've been an atl fan since 2013 and they've been my 3rd favourite band for that whole time. Not that I didn't love Future Hearts and Last Young Renegade (which has my favourite songs of theirs, life of the party) but I truly feel that this record since DP which is 100% ATL just doing what they do best

ok zoomer I wasn’t saying don’t panic was bad. When it came out I loved it (I’m already talking the deluxe version). If anything it’s personal opinion. Personally there are more tracks on average that I skip over or don’t care as much to revisit on don’t panic than nothing personal; Front to back I enjoy NP a bit more than DP. Note I also like a lot of tracks from every album, including last young renegade.. If I were to rank: SWIR > NP > DP > FH > TPS > DW > LYR. Wake up sunshine for me will likely end up either tied or just in front of Don’t panic

@The Reverse -Flash If ATL can make such a massive turnaround, Maybe Avril can as well with her next album, my recommendation for her is to get Deryck to produce the next record (especially since they’re on good terms now and he’s done a phenomenal job producing Sum 41’s albums over the years), it would be cool if he got some of his bandmates to make guest appearances on the album as well, Imagine Brownsound on one of her songs 👌

I’m one of the few that enjoyed Basement Noise. I feel the drums are made to be that plain and simplified to make it seem more like it was played by a musical toy. That way they emphasize that youthful yet nostalgic vibe they’re trying to portray. Is the chorus hook obnoxiously poppy? Yeah. I’ll absolutely give you that. Hell, I’ll say they even could’ve swapped with Summer Daze in track listing. What personally is my bread and butter are stacked chord arrangements in the vocals and playing around with it like in the end of the song. I think this album is one of my top favorites to date!

Nice review! I love this new album so much. At the time I watched this, it was just released a few minutes before. I'm listening to it on Spotify as I write this comment lol. I may have to disagree with you on Sleeping In, though. I think it's a fun poppy-rocky song that just gives me a relaxed and happy vibe... The reference to the Britney Spears song "Hold It Against Me" in the chorus took me back to two-and-a-half years ago, way back to my Britney Spears phase (which is long-gone now lol). It's nice to have that nostalgia, though. I like that I can dance to it. I LOVE everything about the album so far. The lyrics and the happy vibes just make me feel so SAFE. It takes me to a place like a GETAWAY GREEN whenever the MONSTERS of the world make me feel like SOME KIND OF DISASTER. And I guess it's just... my FAVORITE PLACE. I better stop now lol.💛☀

For example, I was just shuffling a playlist of a bunch of my favorite Green Day songs, and I kid you not, it played 12 songs from 21st Century Breakdown in a row!!!! Couple of thoughts: - Holy shit! Pop punk isn't dead! - The title track is a hell of an _actual_ rock song though. *Wow.* Didn't see that coming. - Last Young Renegade pales in comparison to this. I love that album, but the production was shit. Horrifyingly so. - This is one of the best produced albums I've heard in a while. Period. Kudus to All Time Low for prioritizing that change. - I felt Simple Creatures and Blink influence all over this album, but thank God Mark stayed away. That project only served to showcase Alex's night and day vocal superiority. - The features were fantastic! These showed so much flexibility and growth to me. Flawless. - This isn't the first time All Time Low reversed course in their direction. Don't Panic was an incredible rebound record. - I can't believe how much they've grown in every single aspect. - This is their best album to date. Light 8/10 for me

Alright, so I totally get what you’re saying about Basement Noise. But. Why did you have to come for edge of tonight lol. But I agree about basement noise, I personally think the chorus just really lets it down and makes me dislike the song which sucks because I like the verses but now I don't want to listen to it. I was worried about Monsters but its actually in my top 3 favorite songs. Sleeping in is probably my least favorite song I just don't like how they went so poppy with it and none of the lyrics appeal to me at all, it's like the all time low equivalent of Friday or Call Me Maybe, really annoying but freaking catchy. I'm really really impressed with this album and honestly with how like happy and upbeat most of the songs are and the whole yellow sunshine theme it kinda feels like it was meant to be a 'light' in the time we are in now. It has for sure given me something to look forward to and now to listen to in a time where it feels like everything has stopped.

Hate to disagree, but Favorite Place is definitely one of my favorites. To be fair though, I don’t know the band Camino so I didn’t really have any expectations for it. My least favorites would definitely have to be Sleeping in, Safe, and Basement Noise, which are all at least decent. The rest are goddamn amazing though. Great review!
