Not really because its much more of a ballad than a song that relates to real people hence their fans which is the song therapy so its kinda more relatable instead of a ballad

"Don't take it too personal." Don't you mean.. Nothing Personal? Haha kill me. Here's my thoughts: Also, LYR was one of my favorite albums of this year. Dark Side of Your Room, the title track, Good Times and Nice2KnoU are masterpieces. Sure, Life of the Party and Nightmares were misfires, and Dirty Laundry was bland in the start until it swelled up. Afterglow was a good closer. Drugs and Candy had a nice groove to it. I feel like LYR would be closer to the middle on my favorite ATL albums, but Nothing Personal will always be my fave. And let's all remember, Dirty Work was a misfire because of the new label. Perhaps we'll get another Don't Panic! for the next album.
@kevinaccettulla7 жыл бұрын
I agree with this list 100%. I also think Don't Panic is their best album. I'm not sure they'll ever top it. I really believe that was their peak.

ARTV I'm keeping my hopes up though. Don't Panic came after Dirty Work, which at the time I didn't care for. It eventually grew on me, so I'm hoping their next album is a rebound too, because this new one is finally starting to grow on me (but it's still their worst to me).

I dont get why people hate Last Young Renegade. I LOVE that album. I dont think Ive ever listened to the same album so many times completely, and Ive never had so many people ask me "what band is this?" because they liked it too. And honestly it does sound like them. The lyrics are completely in their style and the songs are slower but not boring, and the production is fine to me. Not attacking anyone but I wish there were more people that appreciated the album instead of bashing it so much.
@lunalove93957 жыл бұрын
i like certain songs on the album (especially last young renegade, lotp, good times and nice2knowu) but i don't really enjoy it as an album overall. i think its better when listening to the songs individually though, as opposed to the album from start to finish.

I'm not a huge All Time Low fan to say the least, not because they're bad, but I've just never gotten into them. My favourite album of theirs is "Don't Panic" it's hands down their most pure record. I really do like all of their albums so much, but my top three, in no particular order (they're too hard for me to rank lol), are Don't Panic: It's Longer Now, Nothing Personal, and Future Hearts. There's something special to me about Future Hearts that makes me love it so much. First off, it has more pop elements to it without escaping its original pop-punk sound. Secondly, I tend to relate to a lot of the songs on that album (especially Kids in the Dark) and I think it's a very lyrically strong album to me. It just gives off this feeling that 1) everything will be okay in the end, and 2) someone is on my side, and I'm not alone. I just get such positive and happy vibes every time I listen to Future Hearts. I agree with all the points you made for Don't Panic (I chose the It's Longer Now version because it has more tracks I love that aren't on the original, like A Love Like War and Oh Calamity). And, I agree that Nothing Personal is just so fun to jam out and dance to, with strong lyrical content and an amazing pop-punk sound.

I completely agree with Don't Panic as number 1 but I disagree with most of the other placements. Especially putting Dirty Work above SWIR, which is complete madness to me. I've noticed a trend of support for Dirty Work recently and now it seems to be one of their most popular albums and I just don't get it. I hate it just as much now as I did when it came out. The only worthwhile songs on that album are Heroes, Forget About It and Do You Want Me Dead. Guts is ok live but the production on the album ruins it and overall it's not a particularly special song anyway. I also wish people would give LYR more of a chance. I was sceptical of it at first but I really enjoy it now (although I'm still not a huge fan of Dirty Laundry). For me, LYR is far superior to Future Hearts which I was slightly disappointed in especially after how great Don't Panic was. Feldman's production is too glossy and lifeless and a lot of the songs end up sounding like a cheesy boy band trying to be punk rock (*cough* 5sos *cough*). Songs like Kids in the Dark, Don't You Go, Bail Me Out, Runaways and even Cinderblock Garden, which I know is very popular, seem like they're following a formula of what an All Time Low song should be and end up sounding like insincere, pandering crap. The lyrics on FH in general just don't seem like they came from a genuine place or really related to Alex's life at that time. LYR, on the other hand, is actually very strong lyrically, in my opinion and seem much more relevant to Alex's life and experiences right now. Dirty Laundry is about growing up and learning to be in a mature relationship. Life of the Party and Dark Side of your Room show Alex reflecting on his rockstar lifestyle, exploring the darker side of it and wondering if it's finally time to move on and settle down. Nightmares is about coming to terms with a childhood trauma that he had previously been running away from and using the band and touring to avoid dealing with it, and personally I love the synths on this track in particular because they are so strange and eerie sounding and they really add to the uneasy, nightmarish feel to the song. Good Times seems almost like a mourning song for his carefree youth and the early days of the band, again tying in with the theme of Alex finally growing up and accepting a new more mature adulthood. Personally I much prefer these kind of themes to the meaningless, formulaic songs about young love that make up most of Future Hearts. The themes on LYR might not be as relatable to their mostly young audience as those on previous albums but that's what I like about it. The band have grown up. They are almost 30. It would be embarrassing if they were still singing about first love and one night stands as if they were still 20. They don't want to end up like Good Charlotte or Simple Plan who are middle aged men still making the same music they made 20 years ago. New music from both of those bands just seems false and embarrassing and I'm glad All Time Low are not going in that direction. Anyway, I respect your right to your opinion and I don't expect to change your mind or anything, I just needed to vent a bit because it annoys me to see people writing off LYR without really giving it a chance.

nauticalnonsense95 i agree that people should give lyr a chance and really listen to it. but future hearts is my favorite atl album wyd aha

Honestly I agree with everything he says. It's nots how I'd do my list BUT that's because i was late to the game in finding punk pop music, and thus i discovered the band after Future Hearts was released. So my personal connections to the albums change my ranks, but had I been a fan as long, I'd probably have the same list. Everything he says is in respectful critique and I like it.

Don't Panic is an amazing album, also my #1 favorite by them, every song was great and even when they relased the ":Its longer now" version, that shit was amazing with gems like Canals and Me Without You. mines quite diffrent to yours John. 7# So Wrong, It's Right 6# The Party Scene 5# Future Hearts 4# Nothing Personal 3# Last Young Renegade 2# Dirty Work 1# Don't Panic! It's Longer Now The reason LYR and NP are so high is because I listen to songs like Life Of The Party, Therapy, Too Much and Ground Control after I have a panic attack to calm me down. I like Dirty Work so much cause thats that's the album that I discovered the band through and I love Don't Panic cause I can really rock out to some of the tracks and I also listen to Oh Calamity!, Paint You Wings, If These Sheets Were States and To Live And Let Go after panic attacks. I usually listen to ATL at these times because Alex often writes about his anxiety so the lyrics make me feel like I'm not so alone
@Sam-jy5tf7 жыл бұрын
Damn, Last Young Renegade is actually right up the alley of Nothing Personal and Don't Panic! I don't know what hooked me on the record so much, but I guess it's just the overall feel and playability. You can listen to it front to back and it won't waste any time. Ten songs, no fillers. Just a feeling that starts with dropping the needle on the title track and not stopping before the final moments of 'Afterglow'.

Worst to best: - The Party Scene - Dirty Work/ LYR - Future Hearts - So Wrong, Its Right - Nothing Personal - Don't Panic - Put Up or Shut Up They've been my favorite band for 4 years. Dirty Work and LYR are tied because there are only about 4 songs I really like on both howeverrr out of those songs I like of both of those albums I come back to the ones from LYR more. My main problem with LYR is the singles were great in my opinion, all 5 of them (when is fbr gonna learn the whole releasing half the album as singles thing doesn't work?) were really enjoyable for me and the rest of the album was forgettable. They still remain my favorite band and I have appreciation for everything they put out. Great vid, Jon!👌🏻

My ranking would be 1. Don't Panic 2. Future Hearts 3. Dirty Work 4. Nothing Personal 5. So Wrong it's Right 6. Last Young Renegade 7. The Party Scene I knew their singles in the So Wrong it's Right days, but I never really got into their other stuff. I started loving them when Don't Panic came out. I felt like Alex's voice got a lot better on that record, so that's when I became more of a fan. Dear Maria and Six Feet Under The Stars are pretty nostalgic for me though. Don't panic is the first album I've ever heard from all time low, and it IS definitely the best for me! Yes!!

Idk why people hate Last Young Renegade. LYR was honestly one of the best albums they've done. All Time Low switching over to Fueled by Ramen was their decision and I support it 100% Everyone has their own opinion and this is mine.

I don’t get all the hate for Dirty Work and Last Young Renegade... but I do like that you reviewed all the albums in a mature manner and didn’t say you downright hated any of their work. Great job.

I can't believe it's been five years since Don't Panic! I remember that was when I was absolutely obsessed with them and I saw them in concert when it had just came out. Shame their new stuff doesn't have the same feel to them

1) Don't Panic 2) Nothing Personal 3) Put Up/The Party Scene (due to overlapping tracks) 4) So Wrong 5) Last Young 6) Dirty Work 7) Future Hearts I have never understood why so many people like Future Hearts so much.

Do you happen to think the bonus tracks on Last Young Renegade are better than some of the standard tracks? For me, I enjoy them more and think they're better than most of the standard songs, even though that's not difficult to accomplish.

I know you've already covered Blink 182. But I think it would be a cool idea to Rank all the albums that Tom Delonge Specifically has been part of ie. Blink-BCR-AVA-Self Titled

I see why you ranked them all where they were but I have so much love for both LYR anddd SWIR

Aside from a couple songs, I haven’t even listened to All Time Low. I’m just looking to get started.

My ranking (best to worst) would be: - Future Hearts - Nothing Personal - Don't Panic - Last Young Renegade - So Wrong It's Right - Dirty Work - The Party Scene I know some people will probably disagree with my ranking but hey it's just my opinion on which album I enjoy the most, so many people nowadays are butthurt over someone's opinion (having negative opinion is okay, pointless hating is not but there is a difference), just saying. And I will admit that I miss more guitar sounds on LYR, but lyrically I think it's amazing since it explores themes like childhood fears and dealing with crazy fame life and coming to terms with yourself and it still feels like an all time low album, nonetheless the change of sound. If they made one more pop sounding album, it doesn't mean they are complete trash because of that, it's the music they want to put out right now and some people really talk too much trash about it :/
