Those are used for bridges, overdubbing, or even the last few lyrics leading up to the hook. I love the dudes voice but I have never been able to find a video of him just singing. I hadn't seen a video of his in years and when I saw a new one, I thought maybe he took time to work on that. But nope. Still doing the same vocal gymnastics in every lyric.It's starting to seem like a gimmick. He's still 23 but I hope he realizes it before it's too late

Because now its no longer about music as an art but music as a business. Talented vocalist are not always the ones selling the most records. Like a guy can sing really great but not being able to have song that move people. Example when i see this guy vocals ability lets be honest he is better than john legend vocally, than many in know but yet his not famous. Someone can have average voice and be a great musician like legend and compose legendary songs. Like babyface. Can you say baby face has an amazing vocal technique? No yet this guy has sold millions and millions of records and his own his own publishing rights. So makes a hell of money. Babyface make hits songs for so many artist including boyz ii men. See the difference. Its great to be a great singer but one should also study the business part of music which many talended artist these days are not good at.

His breath control is stupendous 7:15 7:35 that is all one breath in falsetto, with vibrato and various scales that is breath control for your ass! Vibrato alone can use up your wind but scales to boot, wow the bar for difficulty was raised to a 10.

Even more impressive, the show off of breath support didn't even start there. It started at 7:07 on that initial "Oh Give". Take a listen and look at his core, he's only expending air. Shoshana noticed right when he sang the yodel on "to", that's why she looked down at his core and smiled big; Dude is legit a vocal monster.
