Last great striker to come out of the Ajax academy. Could literally do anything you could want from a striker. Shame he was not able to stay at that level after his mid twenties.

Yeah. It's such a shame he didn't last for longer on top level. He was one of my favourite strikers when he played for Barca. Technical, creative, skilled, while being so tall and great in the air. Great linkup with the players around him. I remember expecting him to do great things when he joined Newcastle... Who would have known his career basically ended after he left Barca.
