Dji should do an osmo pocket 4 pro or 4 cinema version… adding the same camera on the magic cinema drone. With a price around $1200

DJI is an amazingly progressive company in the drone market, which they now dominate. They have crushed the competition. They’re also making a rapid impact in the action and vlog, handheld camera markets. They’re creating new features and have only been in the camera market for a couple of years. I own 2 of their drones and the Action 5 Pro cam and all are amazing products. As much as I like their products, if the evidence suggests that continued importation of their products is a national security risk, then so be it. I’d learn to live with that decision and put my faith in the progression of other non-Chinese companies. I gotta believe technology will continue its forward momentum no matter the country of origin of that industry leader. Some other group will step up.

Every business in China is an extension of the Chinese government. DJI does make amazing products, but they are no different than all the rest. Every bit of data these devices collect, with or without our knowledge, can very easily (and probably does) get routed back to a server farm in China. How much data got uploaded to that "weather balloon" last year? How many other balloon crossings were not made public? The Chinese have had bio-weapons labs and secret police stations discovered in this country. Assuming every electronic device they sell is spying on us isn't that ludicrous of a leap. The Chinese government may not be interested much in our day to day habits, but they would certainly be interested in knowing the locations of things, terrain, any associations we might have with influential people, and anything that could be improvised for defensive use. Video and photos with GPS data can give them all that.

@ Well stated, even though I’m not familiar with some of the points you made, they all sound reasonable and are full of logic.

I think DJI is the most innovative consumer electronics company on earth with the best engineers- beating the likes of Apple.

Man, I hope that Osmo360 comes in cheaper just like as they released the Osmo Action during the advent of GoPro. It could be a game changer and good thing I saw this, I may want to hold a little longer from buying the x4.

Insta360 is in real trouble, except for when it comes to the application being integral to the Insta360 strategy. If DJI goes with a 1 inch sensor, and I feel they will, but before Insta360 does something with the RS series, then Insta360 is in trouble.

I am so sick of the lame overuse of the word “pro” that these lazy marketeers are sticking on everything these days. Do they not have any new material for naming schemes? “Pro”…comes from the word “professional” which means “relating to work that needs special training or education”. While some use it professionally, it is not billed as a professional drone. They even refer to the Mini series drones as entry level drones…a hobby drone. There is nothing professional about it…geeeez. What’s gonna be next….4 ply toilet butt wipe named “Toilet Paper Pro”? And btw…these things are not “leaked”….DJI is behind them all.
