@altin ISL agreed, I believe the connection of the symbiote and eddie makes venom and spiderman gives venom the rage making him why he's a villian. Ultimate spiderman (comics and game) and the original venom 616 had reasons to kill spiderman and be a villian because spiderman ruined both eddie and the venom symbiote not just because he needs to survive/wants to die. I really prefer harry being another goblin like the spectacular spider man then venom. Everything what made venom venom is not with harry. I hope they make the spiderman 2 ps5 harry's venom a good story why he's hunting spiderman then just mind controlled.

I think this is a pretty consistent theme, especially outside of the MCU where the villains are "connected" to Tony Stark more than Spiderman. Most of the best known Spiderman villains are the ones connected to both "Peter Parker" and Spiderman. Comic/Amazing Spider Lizard and Raimi Doc Ock were his science mentors. Goblin is his best friend's dad and kills his girlfriend. Sandman killed his uncle. Spiderman is also one of the few heroes to still really have a "secret identity" at all in Marvel. Most modern depictions of Marvel heroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther or the Fantastic Four show them as public figures. Obviously that's just in Marvel - Superman and Batman are also heroes very intertwined with their secret identities, and Batman also has a smattering of "Bruce Wayne" related enemies.

Honestly I don’t know why I didn’t put two and two together when watching this cutscene. But now it clicks, and that’s really interesting that it’s Harry that gets the symbiote ( I’m assuming, anyway) instead of having Eddie appear. I can’t wait for the second game, man this is going to be so cool😄

I always wanted it to be like: the Venom symbiote was made when Martin Li successfully infected Spider-Man with his power but it was hitting him slowly, so throughout the game Peter has the ultra dark blue suit and anytime there's violence or an argument, something negative happens, the stronger and worse Peter gets until he finally wants the suit off, but the power keeps trying to hold him, then gets rid of the corrupting suit somehow, only for that suit to possess someone else

The way I see it On Spider-Man 2 we will fight against Green Goblin as the first boss, after he is down Curt Connors doesn't have the cure so The Lizard will go wild as the second boss And in the meantime, Harry is left alone with nobody to control his "sickness" so the last boss of the game will be Harry as Venom
