I ruined 2 sweatshirts of a customers doing the dang sleeves ! I drove all the way to a hobby lobby in Jacksonville, Fl to get a replacement. I texted her and she was so understanding and I even told her I wasn’t going to charge her and she said absolutely not and paid me . She said “ you’re human ! Mistakes happen, it’s not your fault “

I’m new to sweatshirt embroidery so thanks for your patience with my question! I was told “if you wear, don’t tear” when it comes to stabilizer. In other words, use cut away on clothing. You used tear away. Do you notice any real difference in durability after several washings? Thanks!

This video is so encouraging and educational. ❤I learned I can use the smaller hoop you have for the sleeve edge.🎉I make lots of mistakes and have hoodies with my sample designs for at home of course. Thank you.

KZbinr Hair Buddha says FAIL is First Attempt In Learning. Showing your “fails” is maybe saving someone else from making the same mistake. We learn when things don’t go right and we figure out how to make it right. Good job Brittany!

Hi Brittany! I'm not sure if you brought this up, but it seems like your hoop wasn't positioned correctly on the left bracket, which caused the embroidery to shift. I appreciate your showing us this part of embroidery, it really helps me relax and not be so hard on myself.

I know its waaaay too late to be helpful for you but...for a project like this, I would start with the sleeves since they are so much fussier than doing the front. I only have a flatbed so I open sleeves to do that kind of thing and watching you...I think maybe opening up the sleeves is actually easier. But EVERYONE struggles sometimes with this stuff and its nice to see people be honest about it. When you are alone in your sewing room it's so frustrating!

Turned out great Brittany. We used to call our Grandmother Mema but we spelled it Memaw. I think it may be a southern thing. I was raised in W. Va. and had a bunch of family in Virginia. Keep up the great work. Love your videos.

The name Cameron should have been lined up with the name below it because they were longer names and there wasn't enough room in the hoop to embroider the name Cameron because it was to far over in the hoop,
