This took me a second to realize but I believe the nerfs dispatched to all LMGs across the board was to further emphasize Rampart and boost her pickrate because with her passive it will really make her feel like LMGs are best utilized in her hands over every other legend. Now don’t get me wrong this logic is scuffed but it is a good explanation for why Respawn did this.

Even though… in practicality… different ammo types often have different statistics such as penetration power (in apex the ability to hit through shields and helmets) max effective range, velocity, and different internal ballistics… sounds more like respawn just feels like being lazy as opposed to distinguishing weapon classes as well as weapons within each class

My opinions on these changes: Kraber: The absurd headshot damage was the one thing keeping it good. While the body shot could be argued to be decreased, *THE* one shot sniper no longer being one shot, ruins it entirely. Replicator Switches: Happy, since most areas already have a lot of materials and a replicator, meaning those weapons are more consistent. Flatline would be good to see more of, but I never really liked the Longbow. Rampage: Nerfing all the LMGs works for the Rampart buff, but otherwise, it’s ehh.. but Rampage was an annoyance at times. Dual Shell: Always picked this over something like Shatter caps, now 30-30 is going to be a bit of a reset the fight weapon to full reload L-Star: I know it’s an LMG or whatever, but after buffing it for 3 seasons, nerfing it makes no sense. Devotion: I never really saw enough Devotion play to form a good opinion of it, especially since I slept on Arenas. Havoc: Nice! Spitfire: Fair enough coming out of the care package (although I didn’t really have enough airtime with the spitfire, playing with it or seeing others playing it) Mastiff: Fair enough. Peacekeeper: Always had issues with limbs since my PK consistency is about as good as Respawn’s balancing (I’ll let you decide how good or bad that is), but suffice to say I may be lucky and hit 11 damage rather than 9 Fortified Headshot: This could be annoying, but I never really play Fortified legends. I’m happy with this. Helmets: While I’m glad helmets have a more enhanced use, single shot weapons are going to suffer from this, which sucks considering weapons like Snipers, the Wingman, the 30-30, etc.

I know it varies match to match but I really felt like the LSTAR wasn’t really part of the Meta this season anyways…so nerfing it seems reallyyyyyy unnecessary…it does seem like they’re trying to slightly rearrange how players thing of LMGs in general (given the needs to the spitfire and devotion being fairly substantial as well) but again I think the LSTAR was already in a good place…at this point I feel like unless you have really good attachments it’s a straight up bad gun

The L-Star balancing history is the best proof, that Respawn isn't capable of balancing their games weapon meta. I think they're on a good way for the legends, since the last seasons, but the weapons are still a mess. The L-Star was PERFECT before the season they added two new attachments to it. Respawn just can't accept that there are weapons, most people don't like. But therefore we have that many weapons, so everyone is able to choose. Another big flaw of this season is, that they put the mastiff in the care package and nerfed the Eva to the ground. Seriously: I would rather pick up the Mozambique, than the Eva. The problem is, that they added a shotgun based legend last season. So the ONLY shotgun, which is logical to use for Maggie Players right now is the PK. Cause the PK was buffed several times... too much I think. And now, without the Mastiff it's the only very good weapon tho choice for Maggie. Except Moz+Hammerpoint Chads. ;-)

The Kraber was nerfed because of Comp players complaining. The correct solution was to remove it from Comp the same way that Heat Shields and the gold knockdown shield was removed. No reason for it to have been nerfed like that.

Mokey i am curious why respawn didn't set 120 fov as a option in the in game settings when they could easily do it and implement. i have adjusted my setting to play 120 fov because its really fun and I've seen a lot of progress in my skills, I'm just curious why it cant be a option in game.

I feel the devotion nerf should only have been needed for arenas as it’s honestly not a big deal in br. It’s only really viable with a turbocharger which can be hard to come by without it in the replicator and it’s also eats through energy ammo which most people don’t carry so it isn’t always feasible late game.

I remember in Season 5 or so they did the exact opposite change to the Kraber. Everyone (rightfully) complained about the Kraber not one shotting Fortified Legends even when you headshot them. That's why they buffed the headshot multiplier. So that EVERY Legend is one shot with a Kraber Headshot. And now they do the exact opposite because a .50cal ARMOR PIERCING Sniper is apparently not supposed to one shot you with a headshot. Braindead stupid decision. And I don't even use the Kraber.
