Windows 8 is, by far, the worst operating system I have ever used. It is not user friendly and it is *annoying.* Constantly switching between windows and full-screen apps is horrible. Not to mention the charms and the stupid start screen. Now, I don't discourage you from using it, but I, personally, absolutely hate Windows 8 and 8.1.

I recall that i so badly wanted to install windows 8 on my old acer laptop. It ran windows vista and had a pentium dual core, 2gb's of ram and a slow 160gb hard drive. Too bad i didn't do it. 'Cause to this day, the sound effects of windows 8 are far superior to that of windows 10's.

Windows 8, despite being a somewhat disliked OS, brought me so much joy with its simple yet robust nature, and the unique system sounds. I may sound crazy, but this version of Windows is one of the closest things to my heart. Windows 7 was better I'm joking, it' just Microsoft Windows.

At time of posting, I was starting to *hate* the "hardware disconnect" sound because my crappy ASUS T100's keyboard randomly decided that it would start disconnecting from the main device if at greater than a right (90 degree) angle to it!

The chime for the background sound in Windows 10 plays an FSUS2 chord arpeggiated rapidly from F. The chime for the background sound in Windows 8 plays a CMaj7 chord, originally voicing the C Major chord with a slight audible B in it. I definitely prefer the Windows 8 sound to the Windows 10 sound. Also the high frequencies in the Windows 10 sound clips terribly on bad speakers.

I have perfect pitch, so I can hear and reproduce what note a sound is or what chord it is when it is played. I have heard F Am C notes in the Windows 8 sound scheme but they are boring.
