@@mina256 Nothing. I decided to add more and fix the bootscreens. I want this video to be complete as possible. It's a goal of mine. I decided that I will never stop doing these videos until I get absolutely everything. The lack of knowledge on some builds are delaying me, but I hope I will get by that. The only thing major was adding more builds. Did you notice before that I had builds for all Windows OSes except Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7-10, and Windows Server 2016-2019? It simply does not make sense to leave them out if I can easily acquire the knowledge I need to put them in. I did not change a single thing other than that except changing some images to be clearer. I updated the video for the sake of being complete. That's all I ever wanted this video to be. Did you ignore the section of the comment where I mentioned changes?

@@Chan4444mc This is not the only source I looked at, but something must've went weird with the installation or something because this video for an example has the Windows 95 startup sound: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2alYamLrJyDobs I think the build may contained the Windows 98 RTM startup sound, but may have not enabled it by default. This is the case too in Whistler Build 2481. Sometimes if you clean install, you'll have installation issues that cause the wrong sounds to be enabled by the build. To get the build to work correctly without installation issues, upgrade from a previous build. (Even Whistler 2481 has this issue, even know it is a build well known for it containing the Windows XP startup sounds, but keeps the Windows 2000 startup and shutdown sounds default. There it a reason why I left out of the boot screen. If the boot screen does not change during the OS's development at all, I leave it out.

@@Sonicrush007 Build 1602 is the actually first build that uses the Windows 98 RTM start up, because I did a clean install of that build. @@DuranMedine This is rather confusing to me. I'm not sure what to believe. I feel as if the builds were intended to be upgraded from a previous build and that's the way how things were supposed to be. What if we upgraded from 1592 or a previous build to 1624? I feel like the sounds would definitely change. I'm reading on other sources that 1624 was the first to switch to RTM sounds, so this is why I'm rather confused about this one. Good to see you are dedicated to this project. Some dawned on me that Windows would be quite different if there was no reset for Longhorn.
@Sonicrush0074 жыл бұрын
I'm working towards making this video as complete as possible, hence my dedication into this. I guess you could say Windows would've been different without a Longhorn reset, but in order for that to have happened, Apple would've had to not make Mac OS X Tiger as modern looking as it did. Mac OS X Tiger was the reason why there was a reset. Microsoft was shocked when it released in 2005 and the original Longhorn felt obsolete. Looking back at the original project, it seemed more like a Windows XP with a gray skin and a clock and widgets to the side added and that's it. That's what would have probably released if Microsoft had stuck with it. There would've been less complaints about compatibility (Vista was quite demanding on hardware). Maybe Longhorn would've been called "Vista". I can't even begin to imagine how they would get to Windows 7 or even any of the modern OSes. If Apple did not succeed on modernizing Mac OS X, Microsoft would have been on a different path on making Windows like it is today. This is rather an interesting thing to think about.

My personal best are the ones from Windows 2000/ME. They make me wish that Microsoft kept the option to change them in Windows 8 to 10. Yes, I know, it's a matter of performance, but... what if someone was still fine with the sounds? I'm sad.

Not entirely confident as I didn't test it myself, but every video I watched about Windows 3.0 MME also showed it having a startup sound, I think Bells.wav.
@Sonicrush0074 жыл бұрын
I was not sure about my claim either so I looked at some KZbin videos where they installed Windows 3.0 MME before I made this video and this was what I heard. I'm open to anyone telling me I'm wrong as long as evidence or reasonable claim is provided. I will know for sure on this when I get Windows 3.0 MME to run in PCem properly. I have had issues getting it to run on any VM and emulation environment. Just as a note, I do test these builds and these OSes in this video, but there are some builds I cannot test due to installation issues and some builds being exclusive to BetaArchive FTP access members. So while I keep my claim that this is the most accurate "All Windows Startup and Shutdown Sounds" video on KZbin, I can never say for sure that it is 100% accurate until I somehow get access to every single build which is impossible because BetaArchive pretty much monopolizes these builds and they have freaked out over other websites hosting the builds.

My very first experience with a computer was in the early 2000's on an old ass Packard Bell with I think Windows 98 at the time. I always called it the dinosaur computer in later years when we would get a new computer. We would also have Windows 2000 and especially Windows XP, which I think was the one we had for a really long time, even going into the 2010's. We would later switch to Vista, and I clearly remember my mom getting her own laptop that had Vista on it for work stuff and told us we couldn't really use it all that often. I remember using that laptop for years until the screen broke technically and had lines across it and bad pixels, also the keyboard became useless because there were so many missing keys that fell off after repeated use.

Windows 95 was the operating system from Microsoft which succeeded the Windows 3.1 operating system. It was considered a complete operating system, as it was not a graphical interface running on MS-DOS, and it also performed without any need of the MS-DOS environment after the boot process.

Microsoft released Windows 1.0 on November 20, 1985, as the first version of the Microsoft Windows line. It runs as a graphical, 16-bit multi-tasking shell on top of an existing MS-DOS installation, providing an environment which can run graphical programs designed for Windows, as well as existing MS-DOS software.

If it is posible, put in the description the numbers of the builds which you use for example: Longhorn 4001 Longhorn 4005 Longhorn 4029 I would have a refference due to my blindness and I wanted to try the Vista builds which have mixed sounds between XP and Vista.
@Sonicrush0074 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I can't do that. To put every build in the description would exceed the character limit. I'll post the Vista builds with mixed sounds in another reply so you don't have to keep listening to the same comment when trying to hear the list. Please be aware that I'm only listing the builds that were in this video. When I rendered and uploaded this video, I was completely unaware that a dozen builds were leaked a day prior and I have not yet looked into them yet. Also, to get many of the Windows builds, it would require FTP access to betaarchive.com because people who leak these builds upload exclusively to that website and then sometime else would upload it to another website like WinWorldPC.com. FTP access to beta archive is not easy to get because you would have to have some sort of software that they don't have in their data base filled with terabytes of data. I don't even have FTP access myself so I would have to watch KZbin videos that come from trustworthy KZbinrs based on their past of uploading content that goes along with reality. Betawiki.net is also a useful source for learning about each Windows build too and seems pretty reliable.

@Sonicrush0074 жыл бұрын
@@sergiawstutoriales6941 I did blogs one two sites before, but stopped doing it because I felt like it was useless because no one really looked at it and I stopped updating it, which made me stop using it completely. I switched over to Twitter instead. But I also don't have the time to put every single build up because I'm a college student and I'm getting quite the work load so I haven't uploaded any videos for the past 2-3 weeks. In the past few weekends, I've only got three hours to myself each day which makes me want to do KZbin less.
