Nicely done video, man, about Longhorn sounds, yeah, that was a bit of a slap in the face, specially when i watched guys like Windows on Windows who actually tried out the Longhorn builds and that made me believe that these aren't the real sounds of Longhorn. Shame that people still to this day believe that hoax. Plus, i had a bonus confirmation when i tried the Longhorn builds in a VM.

But what about Windows 95?

TBH I always thought, those sounds in the video are actually the real startup/shutdown sounds of the Windows Whistler (those other widespread Whistler startup/shutdown sounds are already confirmed to be fake BTW). But I learned, this isn't the case either. In case if you don't know, Windows Whistler used Windows 2000 startup/shutdown sounds at first and later, it started using those well known Windows XP startup/shutdown sounds.

Oooo , I first commented on this interesting old video

This is what my records showed back in the past when I thought that some of these sounds were real: I was fooled at NT 5.0's shutdown sound, thinking that the one given in this video is real, but now I know I'm wrong. I also seemed fooled at Millennium, but I actually prefer the real sounds over those fake sounds. Wasn't too certain with Whistler though, because I have seen some videos that use Longhorn's fake sounds but also use the 2000 RTM sounds for Whistler. I've heard one sound one unofficial video, another the next. I didn't think that Server 2003, however, used its animation sound for its startup sound in the UK. I was fooled about Longhorn, but didn't know that much about Home Server. However, I have used Windows 8 and 10, and I knew that the startup sound was the same as the Vista's/7's. And I never heard that shutdown sound in those OS's. Well, now I know.

Damn, we can really why Microsoft had to reset Longhorn in this video. It was so unstable, it’s an embarrassment. That definitely would’ve hurt Microsoft had it been released as intended 💀.
