Don't know why there are sounds from windows 7/8/8.1 i guess they where leftovers in the windows 10 ISO and was never meant to be used

@fishyman08 Even in Windows 8 and Windows 11 many still remain. They only replaced sounds with the same file name as the current sounds. If they don't match, then they were kept.

@@ralphbahena9921 This is actually not incorrect. Windows 8's startup sound is disabled by default just like in Windows 10 and 11. If you disable fast startup and go into sound settings to enable the Windows startup sound, it will play the Windows 7/Vista startup sound. Same is true for Windows 10. Windows 11 got its own startup sound but the process is the same.

It's not the Windows 98 notify sound as it sounded like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJbVe56sbNJ8h9U It's similar but different. It was pretty much left over from when this variation of the sound was introduced in Windows Vista.

I never tested it but you probably can. I generally advise against using Virtualbox given drivers will not work in Virtualbox and VMware Workstation Pro is free and will behave millions of times better with the backwards compatibility mode.

@@kaRlozXD VMware isn't much more difficult than Virtualbox as the only real significant difference is just the interface of the application. I highly suggest you learn VMware and then do the build.
