This used to be a song contest where the writers of the song were credited and they had an orchestra playing. The singers got up on stage and sang. It has now morphed more into the value of the stage production, special effects, backing dancers and how bizarre their clothes are, or lack of them all performed to a backing track. Whatever someone identifies as their gender has little to nothing to do with the song they're singing. I think they should rename this contest as it's nothing to do with being the writer of a winning song anymore.

The orchestra had its limitations in terms of sound diversity. I prefer the use of the backing track. The other issues you mention are a separate development, and they're actually major reasons why EuroVision is still successful: most people secretly love watching all the bizarre acts and weirdos on stage.

I wanted Finland to win but it didnt, also i was extremly chocked how Spain only got 5 points from televote also im very mad and upset that Armenia ONLY got 14th place i mean its good but it deserved to be in the top 10 it was my favourite and probably the weirdest part was when serbia got only 30 points in total

Then, halfway into the 90s and in the 2010's, there were some bad winners, and in the end, the quality was back again! Everyone salty at Loreen winning needs to remember that this is a contest about unity and that your favourite doesn’t always win. Loreen did an incredible job as did Kaarija and the result was determined fair and square. There are more things to worry about in life. Be grateful that Eurovision is in our lives. Something that I've noticed and don't hate me for saying it but the winners of each year take risks and chances with the songs that they sing which is what the music industry is about taking those musical risks while hoping that it'll pay off. Take the two Eurovision two time winners John Logan and Lorren as a good example they went from being happy with "euphoria" to a more mournful tune with "tatoo" and Logan did the exact same thing with "just another year " and "hold me now " but both songs tackled the same issues just from two different and changed with time perspectives and different tones which is a risk especially when you're known for doing one thing... I'm just saying

I'm not salty about Eurovision at all. I just think that instead of elevating artists in a long run-it's not giving them the right platform for growing....Another thing is politics and everyyyyyone can deny it as long as they want to. These are facts. At times it seems as Eurovision has nothing to do with music whatsoever....which is so sad. It used to be (40-50 yrs ago) about skills, art and TALENT. Right now it's politics and religion or lack of it. Parody of what a contest should be like. Sorry.

turkiye won for just one time but that song hitted different.everyway that i can is such a cultural and rich song because of the musicals,it just make me feel so happy after those songs which sounds the same.everyway that i can is a revolut on of eurovision history.

Why did 1969 and other years have so many winners?

In 1969 there was no tiebreak rule in place so as four countries ended up with the same amount of points they were all crowned the winner. In 1991 both Sweden and France ended up with the same amount of points but the rule favoured the country that got more 10 points from the juries (Sweden ×5 to France x2) so Sweden was crowned the winner
