I have lived in San Diego for over 30 years and this is the best Brazilian steakhouse I have been to anywhere in the US, and I have been to many! A must do if you live or visit San Diego!

Rock...how cool.... "REI DO GADO" was the name of a Brazilian soap opera (novel) from the 90's. REI means King and GADO means Cattle. I wish I was there eating that barbecue!

I been to a handful of Brazilian BBQ joints and I have to say this is my favorite. I totally voucher for this restaurant. It is definitly not budget friendly but when you what there, you will know why. It is like you died and went to to freaking meat heaven. Trust me, you will get the meat sweats and you will hate meat after eating here. It is that good! 🤣

$65 Brazilian Buffet is Pretty Pricey...... But the atmosphere is quite exquisite ambiance, nice to take a Hot Date and talk while waiting for the Good Meat to come around to your table... Had a Bad Experience at a Brazilian Buffet in West Covina many years ago, the Problem's that the GOOD Meat takes forever to come around and the cheap meats keeps coming out... You can get full easily just by sitting there waiting for the Good Meat to come around while keeping busy eating the cheap stuffs... Since that, i try not to goto Server Buffets, Self-Serve Buffet is always good cuz YOU can really stack your plate with Goodies instead of a Server serving you.. ✌✌

I lived in Brasil for a couple of years and moved back to San Diego. Rei do Gado was one of the first Brasillian restaurants I ate at when I returned. It has been several years but the food is good. I ate there before the had their liquor license! However, the restaurant Fogo do Chao in San Diego is very good as well. For a long time, Rei Do Gado was the only Brazillian restaurant downtown. With Fogo, they have a formidable competitor. Fogo is a Popular Chain that is in many larger cities. I ate at a Fogo restaurant in Brasil and it was very nice and has won competitions in São Paulo, Brasil. Rei Do Gado isn’t a chain and it has a different feel to it than Fogo. In a perfect world, try both!
