Getting kicked out of a buffet and getting cut off at an all you can eat are experiences I am much too familiar with. Today we are at an all you can eat fish and chips to put it to the test! To celebrate 300k subscribers I was going to try to eat 30 pieces of fish (if they weren't going to kick us out before hand). Fish and chips are generally fried fish and French fries, it has an English influence on the name. Can we beat the buffet? Or will we get cut off? Tune in to find out!
Again, thank you all so much for the subscriptions and support! 300k means a lot, and I can't wait to continue to grow as a family and community!

Fries come with first round. Than it can be just fish. Most places will give you more fries after the first round if you ask. I have only had two rounds of fries once. My local place will give you more coleslaw if you ask. I just go for more fish after the first round.

@Disguised Dv8ant it’s called tip out. Some restaurants do let their kictchem staff get a cut. Some don’t. Regardless, if a server asks for something and the cooks have the means, they listen to FOH.
@iAmMantequilla
@iAmMantequilla 3 жыл бұрын
@Disguised Dv8ant cooks/kitchen staff make at least minimum wage while servers usually make a lot less depending on state laws and such. There are many instances of staff tipping the kitchen just depends on the circumstances
@sicboi80

@Disguised Dv8ant Servers get paid usually 2.13/ per hour. They rely on tips to make any money whatsoever. That 2.13 doesn't even cover taxes on your paycheck. Also, servers do tip out for other staff, not always the cooks though.

Comment #1798. Joel!!! You did it man!!! They kept serving you!!!! Over tipping is my thing as well. If they can keep my water or unsweet tea full then they deserve a big tip. I had a 20 dollar meal and tipped 20 dollars due to them making sure my drink was always full or bringing me a new one. Hell, one time I asked for the chef who made my steak to come out and tipped him 20 as well. Sure it was 60 dollars but my food was perfect, service was awesome, and the chef got his cut for doing an awesome job. I have had some even crazier tips in the past but tipping the chef is my favorite.

Only Americans can be fooled into paying more money for someone who did their job properly. So glad tipping culture doesn't exist here in Europe. Servers get a paycheque like everyone else in every field of work. Not my job to supplement their income simply for doing their job correctly.
@dustystotler1376
@dustystotler1376 2 жыл бұрын
@@markobighead3173 amazingly enough there are a ton of really bad servers here in the US. They are paid minimum wage or below which is poverty level. They live off their tips. I have some waitress friends who to this day make a quarter of what I make if they have no tips. That isn't enough to pay rent and utilities for the month. It is just like strippers to be honest. If they do bad they don't earn anything. I don't agree with it honestly. I wish they could get fair pay like a normal employee. Most don't though.

In these situations it would be great to throw some extra money to the owner and staff. Because a. This is a privately owned business, b. They had great service and didn’t kick you out c. You’re making far more from this video than they made from you and you ate A LOT. Yeah you threw out a name, but an end picture of the business & staff, or throwing extra money to privately run businesses that do this would be a commendable gesture.

Based on the kind of fish it is though, they usually do an all you can eat to get rid of the sitting stock and get ready for the fresh catch so to speak. He could just be doing them a favor when they would just ultimately toss whatever passed expiration in the garbage.
