Japanese eggs are produced under the strictest control in the world, so you never get sick, and they are quite rich and not smelly at all. Although it may seem strange to many people, but when you try it, it's not bad at all. And since it can be made simply by putting it on rice, it's understandable why it's a common dish in Japan.

At Fu-unji, I would also recommend the dipping ramen since the soup ramen is a tad bit too salty for my liking. Also, for those who don’t want to get in that line outside, try their restaurant at the underground mall of Tokyo station. You won’t have to wait and it will taste exactly the same.

I eat raw egg yolks all the time here in Georgia. free range chicken produce the most orange egg yolks, which is the most nutrient dense. eggs are super healthy if sourced correctly.

The colour of the yolk has to do with the breed and diet of the chicken and virtually nothing to do with the nutritional content.
@henriquejmsantos Жыл бұрын
@@skotdude if the diet of the chicken can afect the colour of the egg then surely it must afect its nutritional content. But i admit i can be wrong ofcourse. Atleast iteans the chicken were fed better and had more food diversity. Pale yolks to me signal cheap and fast food standards when it come to livestock quality.
@ItsMe-zs3iy Жыл бұрын
Because a diet has nothing to do with nutrition right? Lol
@skotdude Жыл бұрын
@@ItsMe-zs3iy The chickens diet has nothing to do with the nutritional content of their yolks, except for minor differences in pigmentation compounds, meaning the stuff that colours the egg has no nutritional value to people. The chickens diet might mean healthier eggs for the chicken, larger, uniform as opposed to malformed, but genetically... egg is egg. It roughly contains the same stuff regardless. Some countries actually have a different idea of what a "good" egg looks like. In Australia when I was a teen the bright orange yolk was generally associated with cheap battery farmed eggs, whilst free range eggs were eggspected to be bright, almost fluorescent yellow. That's changed now though. Again, has nothing to do with the nutritional content of the eggs, just consumer perception of quality based on appearance.

Mike what’s the address of the Oden restaurant?
@worldsno1drwhofan Жыл бұрын
I have to say, I’m so envious of how good and cheap food is in so many other countries. In the UK Japan has a reputation for being expensive for food for some reason, despite it being a lot cheaper to eat out and the quality is on another level. There’s no way you could get a main meal in the UK for less than £10 except for places like McDonald’s. Many meals are over £15 and most places the food is frozen and reheated and is pretty meh. Even places selling Asian food aren’t cheap and you can guarantee nobody will be using freshly made noodles (there is one awesome place in Coventry that does, and sells more authentic Chinese food, but that’s the only one I’ve come across). Ramen will be at least £10 and absolutely nowhere close to being as good as in Japan. It’s ridiculous. Street food though I’m most envious of. Street food here is an absolute rip off, the sellers are out to just charge as much as possible and its obscene. The quality is also meh and it won’t be particularly authentic. At a Christmas market I went to last year they were selling bratwursts for £8! Funnily enough in Mike’s one video of trying street food in a market in the UK, he really wasn’t impressed. He was more impressed by London’s Chinatown but noted how overly expensive it was. So yeah, I wish the food in the UK wasn’t so damn overpriced and awful. I totally understand why we have a bad reputation for food. Ok most of it might not be as terrible as in the 1950s but most of it is definitely mediocre (apparently a common thought for people from abroad who visit). Considering most people have just a few hundred pounds a month disposable income in the UK, shelling out over £50 for two people for two courses and a drink each in the average restaurant is ridiculous, hence many people don’t eat out often. Especially when its very easy to cook better food at home than you’ll get in a restaurant.

THIS. it breaks my heart to see the prices of restaurant and street food here in the UK. Especially in London. I totally agree with all you said.

@@unknownentity7964 It’s literally called “Noodle Bar”. It’s very well known amongst Coventry locals and uni students as being fricking awesome (I went to Warwick uni and my and my friends went there all the time). It won’t be 100% authentic but its way more authentic than your average Chinese restaurant. The fact that most of the customers are Chinese is probably proof of that!
