There is a Malay saying, "Habis Manis, Sepah Dibuang". Which literally means -When the sweetness (of the sugarcane) finishes, you throw away the pulp. This means- when you are done taking the benefits from a person or thing, you just throw away or leave that person of thing. Unkind but yeah...

Nice one 👍🏻 For us as a Malaysian, we grow up with fruits around us, so we use to it and thought is just the same and we might not interested to visit the farm. Just get to know that in others perspectives from the country which never grow fruits is so precious for you guys. Awesome and now I know the reason of tourists visiting it.
@alexashmead68005 жыл бұрын
Great to see you both enjoy the fruits in Malaysia not available in Europe. Thanks for informing me the temperature cos I contemplate to settle down there after decades in UK. The farm owner should put description of the fruits. They should have photos and description of the cashew nuts and the processes involved. Even the rice fields should explain the processes involved. Hence we understand more the hard labour involved instead just buy from supermarket.

Yup cashew nuts grow on tree. Actually cashew apple is and the nuts is like the seed sticking out of the apple. Hence why cashew is quite expensive as you can only harvest a cashew per cashew apple. Labour intensive.
