You make this shit look so damn easy lol. Thanks for the jobava videos. Rating been on a steady climb since I started playing it consistently. Used KID when I first started playing but abandoned it because the congested board would often stump me. Think my skills have gotten better now, time to give it another go

The billiards triangle is just called a triangle, if I'm not mistaken. The act of using it to arrange or "rack" the balls into the triangle is "racking."

thanks, Ive been really struggling with the KID.. "Great opening for beginners they said, same system all the time". One move wrong and the whole game is finished is my experience.. But I-m keeping at it, learning more theory. And this was one of the clearest videos, thsx, will look into that pawn / horse move on the queenside

I keep getting swamped as soon as I castle, they just trade off the knight or bishop and pawn storm and I'm losing my mind with this! I do well against the normal white openings but some players seem to know how to destroy KID.

Alex, can you recommend a book for getting better with the pawns? My biggest weakness is knowing when to break and the end game with pawns. Sometimes I think I'm too passive with the pawns, or I take too much. Usually when I analyze with the engine it always wants me to take, even if it effs up the structure.

@@AlexBanzea sounds good!! We are eagerly awaiting your Jobava course. I’m btw trying to shape my repertoire around yours, since your teaching material is best. So Jobava with white (transposed to different openings depending on Black’s response which I assume you’re covering in the course), and Caro/Slav/KID with black? What do you recommend? 😄

@@AlexBanzea I am super stoked to hear that! The KID just perfectly fits the gap between the London and the Caro-Kann. And I jut haven't find any course that is practical for my level, like your courses are. Robert Ramirez comes closest, but his is a little thin compared to your courses. So I'd be buying your KID course as soon at is released.
