I wonder if/how much lore is gonna be in the event. Since shaco's only lore is that he's a puppet made for a prince, and there are a tons of "eye" symbol in his thematic along with viego's very blatant "eye" on his chest, if that's any reference to the two. Or if lore in the SF canon has the two related.

true, the one big downside though, is that the meta is super restrictive, way more than any other mode, unless you don't mind dying instantly and ending 4th place every game (i know, now is were someone comes telling me how they made x work and had fun, you do you, nobody is stopping you, but bruisers and tanks are having the time of their life on arena)

The game mode looks incredibly promising and might get me to actually play a Moba game mode after along time. It looks like it would be cool to have as a permanent/semi-permanent game mode but I have concerns that it has some inherent design flaws that would eventually push everyone to play the exact same pool of champions and as such would somewhat force Riot to try and force people to play interesting things rather than just what's strong but I think the last thing we want is ARURF again.

it's nice, but you'll be forced into tanks and bruisers/fighters extremely quickly unless you don't mind dying instantly and going 4th every match. it makes you wanna try stuff, but after some matches you realize it's a place for the naafiris, yi's, volibear, yorik, aatrox, pyke, darius, viego, etc, not for jhin, zoe, xerath, etc, so just as you said, the same pool every match. in fact, don't be surprised if you see two duos using the exact same combo in the same match (you can pick the same champs as an enemy).

I'm hesitant of this one due to it seeming very duel centric and I like league for the team aspect. Was hoping for something more casual friendly. Hope later they add in a version like WoWs solo shuffle. Where instead of life you go in as a solo player and you get given a random teamate. Then you continue to cycle through players until you have played with everyone and then the winner is determined by how many rounds you won. Can tweak it a a little but the idea for is being roughly the same.

sadly, it is, not in regards to the augments, but the champ picks themselves, you'll notice you start seeing only 2 classes and around 10 champs or so repeated over and over, and the same bans too (shaco, yorick, naafiri, zyra, taric, etc)
